Race Days: Thursday - Half Marathon, 6ish Mile, 4 Mile and 2 Mile
Friday: 6ish Mile, 4 Mile and 2 Mile
2 DAY BUNDLE: Create your own bundle by choosing any combo of Thursday and Friday race distances!

🌲 Event Overview

Come take a walk, hike or run in the woods! This event is for novice through experienced trail runners/hikers. All distances are on wide and single track 100% DIRT trails. THIS IS NOT A ROAD RACE… The trails do include… LEAVES, ROCKS and ROOTS, so it is important to pay attention to your footing. There are twists and turns in addition to rolling to steep hills that will challenge you along the way. Experience a Thanksgiving tradition like no other! And then come back for The Leftovers Races!

Sign up for the race and create a team during the registration process. Have your friends and family join your team! Flocks with 6 or more members registered by November 22nd will receive a pie at packet pick up! Limit 1 pie per group.

⏳ Important Notes

Time Limit: 3.0 Hour Time Limit for all distances. Half Marathon runners must be through the half way split by 9:20 AM to continue on course. Slower pace will result in being routed to the finish line.
No Strollers or Dogs: No strollers or dogs allowed on course
Children: Children welcome with Parent/Guardian permission and/or accompanied by adult depending on your child’s ability

6:30 AM: Registration opens (Please come early to find parking and avoid the long line!)
8:00 AM: Half Marathon
8:07 AM: 6ish Mile
8:15 AM: 4 Mile
8:27 AM: 2 Mile
11:00 AM: Course closes

*Waves starts will be used, runners will sign up for their wave of choice (Thursday only)

1.5 HOUR LATER today for some sleep in time!

7:30 AM: Registration opens (Please come early to avoid the long lines)

9:40 AM: 4 Mile
9:50 AM: 2 Mile

New for 2026: Multi-event discount pricing. Racers can create their own bundle by choosing any Thursday distance option and combining with any Friday distance option. Both day bundle will receive custom event gloves and free drink coupon for the coffee truck (First 250 Bundle entrants!)
Medals: All Turkey Trail Trot and The Leftovers Race runners will receive a unique race medal Thursday and a different medal on Friday. These 2 medals will fit together!

RACE DAY MEETING - Please assemble at the start line 10 minutes before race start time

📅 Changing Distances

Runners can switch down to a shorter distance up until November 25 at 6:00 pm. Go to your Runsignup profile and select Turkey Trail Trot + TLOR. Click Manage Registration, Switch Events and save your choice. If you switch to a lower or same cost event there is no transfer fee. If you switch to a higher cost there will be an additional amount due. Save your switch.

PLEASE MAKE ANY SWITCHES PRIOR TO PICKING UP YOUR RACE BIB! Race bibs are unique to the race distance and will help our volunteers direct runners on course.

📦 Early Packet Pick-Up

Sunday, November 22: 11:00 - 5:00 PM at Hanson’s Running Shop, 8409 Hall Rd, Utica
Monday, November 23: 11:00 - 7:30 PM
Tuesday, November 24: 1:00 - 6:00 PM, Location: TBD

🚗 Park Pass

Stony Creek Metropark requires vehicles to have a metropark pass. Daily park passes are $10. No fee will be charged on Thanksgiving day. Yearly or daily passes will be available for purchase at the park gates on Friday.

💧 Cupless Racing

Runners are encouraged to carry your own personal hydration system or reusable cup to refill at the aid stations.
