Jonas Cattell Memorial 10-mile Run & Fort Mercer 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

A Historical Run to Commemorate Jonas Cattell's Warning Fort Mercer of Attack.

🚌 Transportation

• Bus transportation: Bus transportation will be provided from Red Bank Battlefield to the starting line in Haddonfield. Buses will leave Red Bank Battlefield at 7:00am.
• Bag drop: There will also be a bag drop at the starting line.

🏆 Awards

• Winners: Awards will be presented to male and female winners in all divisions.
• Special categories: Additional awards will be presented for achievement in special categories.

💵 Entry Fee

• 10-miler: $30.00
• 5K: $20.00. Please make checks payable to: Gloucester County Parks and Recreation.

🏅 Courses

• 10-mile run: The 10-mile run is a point-to-point course from Haddonfield to National Park as run by Jonas Cattell on Oct. 22, 1777.
• 5K course: The 5K course will be an out-and-back course, starting and finishing at the Red Bank Battlefield.

📝 Registration

• Pre-register: Pre-register by Wednesday, October 15th in order to be eligible for early packet pick-up on Thursday, October 16th and Friday, October 17th.
• Race Day Registration: RACE DAY REGISTRATION and PACKET PICK-UP will begin at 7:00am at the race start location of the event you enter.
• 10-mile registration: The 10-mile race day registration will take place in Haddonfield.
• 5K registration: The 5K race day registration will take place at Red Bank Battlefield.

📦 Packet Pick-up

• Early pick-up: Thursday, October 16th at James G. Atkinson Park Office from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
• Friday pick-up: Friday, October 17th at James G. Atkinson Park Office from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
• Race Day pick-up: Race Day packet pick-up will begin at 7:00am at race start location.

🏃 Participant Requirements

Participants must be able to complete a 15 minute per mile pace for the 10-mile race.

ℹ️ Additional Information

• Water stations: Cups of water will be pre-filled and spread out on the tables so the runners can grab one.
• Runners tent: Snacks for runners: water, sports drink and fruit.
• Award Ceremony: Will be held at the conclusion of both events at the Red Bank Battlefield.
