🏃‍♀️ Race Policies

• No Refunds: THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS, DEFERRALS OR TRANSFERS.
• Email Notifications: NO EMAILS WILL BE SENT UNTIL RACE WEEK.

📅 Important Information

• Website: Many answers to questions are on our website, eriemarathon.net.
• Parking: Due to our park permit all parking will be at Waldameer Park and all will need to walk the .6 miles to the start and after the race.
• Water Stops: We will have water stops with water and lemon lime Gatorade spaced about a mile apart.
• Restrooms: Each water stop will also have a porta-potty nearby.

🚶 Spectator Guidelines

• Parking Restrictions: All spectators must walk to the race from Waldameer parking.
• Roadway Access: At no point can they be on any roadway: violations will incur fines by the park.
• No Vendors: There are no food vendors or drink machines at the park: spectators must bring their own supplies.

📍 Race Location

• Venue: Everything happens at the Erie Runners Club Beach 1 Pavilion on Presque Isle State Park, which serves as the start and finish for the marathon.
• Parking Facilities: All race participants must park at Waldameer or the Ridge Center and walk down the hill.

🏆 Course Details

• Elevation: Less than a 250-foot total change in elevation for the marathon.
• Surface Type: The running surface is mostly asphalt, with about a third being concrete: there is also a grass surface available.
• Shade: The course offers a considerable amount of shade and sun.
• Race Type: This is an all-volunteer run race with a cap of 2000 participants and is a Boston Qualifier.

⏱️ Event Regulations

• Event Insurance: Event insurance is sold and charged by a separate company, offered through runsignup.
• Time Limit: There is a 6-hour limit, and participants must maintain a 14-minute pace.
• Course Adjustment: Participants not keeping the pace may be moved to the all-purpose trail earlier by request of park rangers.
