Batavia United Way Bat Race 5K & 10K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Batavia United Way is pleased to announce the 12th annual Bat Race 5K/10K on October 25, 2025, beginning at River and State Street in downtown Batavia at 8:15 a.m. This chip-timed event along the beautiful Fox River Bike Path has drawn runners and walkers to our lovely town from 30 surrounding zip codes for 10 years.

• Event Options: 5K, 10K, and Kids Fun Run.
• Awards: Race awards will be given for the top three finishers male and female for 5K and 10K.
• Finishing Medals: All participants will receive a finishing medal.

📅 Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up: Wednesday, October 22 & Thursday, October 23 from 5-8 p.m. at Pal Joey's, 31 N. River St. Batavia.

• Discount Offer: Show your bib to get 10% off your food bill from Wednesday through Saturday!
• Morning Pick-Up: Packets can also be picked up on the morning of the race starting at 7 a.m. at Pal Joey's.

🎉 Race Day Festivities

Race day brings all sorts of fun!

• Food Options: The fabulous Bloody Mary bar at Pal Joey's, cider donuts, breakfast burritos, and more!
• Costume Encouragement: We encourage (but do not require) you to wear costumes.
• Costume Contest: Prizes will be awarded in various categories (e.g., Best Group Costume, Best Duo Costume, Best Adult Male Costume, Best Adult Female Costume, Best Child Costume).
• Registration: You can register at the information booth the morning of the race to be eligible for prizes.
