8th annual Great Turkey Chase to benefit ECHOS in Elizabethtown. A portion of registration fees and 100% of online donations will benefit ECHOS. Go to https://www.echoslancaster.org to connect with ECHOS.
5K course starting and ending at Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ (EBIC) 996 E High St, Elizabethtown, PA.
👶 Kids Run Details
- No Event Fee: Sign up online!
- Two Events: Approximate 1/4 mile course that can be run one, two, three, or four times and a shorter run through blocked off parking lot.
- Sponsors: Kids run sponsored by Tatted Toy Guys and LIV-Etown, Elizabethtown!!
- T-Shirt Option: Option for t-shirt purchase.
🏅 5K Race Details
- Course: 5K loop runs through the streets of Elizabethtown.
- Family Friendly: Making family memories! Thanksgiving traditions!
- Thanksgiving Morning: Exercise before your Thanksgiving feast.
- Turkey Catch: "Catch" a stuffed turkey and receive a gift card that can be used to purchase a turkey.
👕 Participant Amenities
- T-Shirts: To all 5K participants signed up by November 5th.
- Finisher's Medal: To all 5K finishers.
- Age Group Awards: By 10 year age groups and overall finisher awards - Thanksgiving style!
- Registration: Online registration available until 4:00 PM on 11/26/2025: in-person registration available starting at 6:45 AM on November 27th at EBIC.
🚗 Parking Information
IMPORTANT: DO NOT PARK IN BLOCKED OFF AREA OF THE PARKING LOT. This area will be used for the kids run. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASSY AREAS AT THE CHURCH. Limited parking is available at the EBIC parking lot. Overflow parking will be needed and is available at Bear Creek School, East High Elementary School, small lot at the Fair Grounds by outbuildings, and street parking. (See parking map below)
🐶 Paws Policy
Important Note: Although we love our furry friends, dogs are not allowed on the race course for safety reasons.
💵 Refund Policy
Unfortunately, the Great Turkey Chase does not offer refunds under any circumstances due to pre-race costs affiliated with each registration.
🏆 Contest Information
🎉 2025 Great Turkey Chase Family Gathering Contest
- Award: For the biggest family gathering at the Great Turkey Chase.
- Entry Forms: Available at the ECHOS table in the registration area.
- Eligibility: Each family member must be registered for either of our two races (5K or the Kids Fun Run).
- Prize: $100 family gift pack for the winning group.
👗 2025 Great Turkey Chase Costume Contest for 5K Participants
- Awards: For individuals and groups showing the most Thanksgiving Day Spirit!
- Submission: Photo entries must be submitted under the “2025 Great Turkey Chase Photo Contest” post on the Great Turkey Chase Facebook page.
- Judging Criteria: Creativity, fun, and holiday spirit.
- Prizes: Gift cards awarded for first, second, and third place, winners announced on the Great Turkey Chase Facebook page by December 1, 2025.
