Great Turkey Chase 5K

Event Overview

8th annual Great Turkey Chase to benefit ECHOS in Elizabethtown. A portion of registration fees and 100% of online donations will benefit ECHOS. Go to https://www.echoslancaster.org to connect with ECHOS.

Race Details

• Date: November 27, 2025
• Location: 996 E High St, Elizabethtown, PA
• 5K Course: Starting and ending at Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ (EBIC)
• Kids Run: No event fee: sign up online!

Kids Run

• Distance: Approximate 1/4 mile course, can be run up to four times
• Sponsors: Sponsored by Tatted Toy Guys and LIV-Etown, Elizabethtown
• T-shirts: Option for purchase available
• Fun Run: Shorter run through blocked-off parking lot

5K Race

• Loop Course: Runs through the streets of Elizabethtown
• Family Friendly: Making family memories and Thanksgiving traditions
• Pre-Feast Exercise: Come out on Thanksgiving morning to exercise
• Special Catch: "Catch" a stuffed turkey and receive a gift card for purchasing a turkey

Participant Perks

• T-shirts: Available for all 5K participants registered by November 5th
• Finisher's Medal: Given to all 5K finishers
• Awards: Age group awards by 10-year groups and overall finisher awards
• Registration: Online until 4:00 PM on November 26, 2025: in-person on race day starting at 6:45 AM

Parking Information

DO NOT PARK in the blocked-off area of the parking lot, as this area will be used for the kids run. DO NOT PARK on the grassy areas at the church. Limited parking is available at the EBIC parking lot. Overflow parking is available at Bear Creek School, East High Elementary School, small lot at the Fair Grounds by outbuildings, and street parking. (See parking map below)

Important Notes

• No Dogs: Although we love our furry friends, dogs are not allowed on the race course for safety reasons.
• No Refunds: The Great Turkey Chase does not offer refunds under any circumstances.

1. 2025 Great Turkey Chase Family Gathering Contest

• Award: For the biggest family gathering at the Great Turkey Chase
• Registration: Entry forms available at the ECHOS table
• Rules: Family members must be registered: family gathering designates a captain
• Prize: Family gift pack worth ~$100

2. 2025 Great Turkey Chase Costume Contest

• Awards: For individuals and groups showing the most Thanksgiving Day spirit
• Eligibility: Must be participants in the 2025 Great Turkey Chase 5K
• Submission: Submit photo entries by November 27, 2025
• Prizes: Gift cards for first, second, and third place winners
