🦃 Great Turkey Chase Overview

8th annual Great Turkey Chase to benefit ECHOS in Elizabethtown. A portion of registration fees and 100% of any donations you make will benefit ECHOS.

🏁 Event Details

• Date: November 27, 2025
• Location: Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ (EBIC), 996 E High St, Elizabethtown, PA
• 5K Course: Starting and ending at EBIC, runs through the streets of Elizabethtown.
• Registration: Online until 4:00 PM on November 26, 2025: In-person registration available starting at 6:45 AM on race day.

👶 Kids Run

• Cost: No event fee, sign up online!
• Distances: Approximate 1/4 mile course that can be run one to four times.
• Shorter Run: Through a blocked-off parking lot, sponsored by Tatted Toy Guys and LIV-Etown.
• T-shirt Purchase: Option available for kids run participants.

🎁 Awards and Medals

• T-shirts: To all 5K participants signed up by November 5th.
• Finisher’s Medal: To all 5K finishers.
• Age Group Awards: By 10-year age groups.
• Overall Finisher Awards: Thanksgiving style awards for top participants!

🚗 Parking Information

DO NOT PARK IN BLOCKED OFF AREA OF THE PARKING LOT. This area will be used for the kids run. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASSY AREAS AT THE CHURCH. Limited parking is available at the EBIC parking lot. Overflow parking will be needed and is available at Bear Creek School, East High Elementary School, small lot at the Fair Grounds by outbuildings, and street parking. (See parking map below)

🐾 Important Notes

Although we love our furry friends, dogs are not allowed on the race course for safety reasons.

Unfortunately, the Great Turkey Chase does not offer refunds under any circumstances due to pre-race costs affiliated with each registration.

🎉 Contests and Activities

🥇 2025 Great Turkey Chase Family Gathering Contest

• Biggest Family Gathering: Award for the largest family group at the event.
• Registration: Entry forms available at the ECHOS table in the registration area.
• Entering Family: Must register for either the 5K or Kids Fun Run.
• Prize: Family gift pack worth ~$100, awarded to the group with the most qualifying members.

🎭 2025 Great Turkey Chase Costume Contest

• Eligibility: Must be participants in the 5K.
• Photo Submission: Bib numbers must be visible for qualification, submit photos on the Facebook contest post.
• Judging Criteria: Based on creativity, fun, and holiday spirit.
• Winners: Announced by December 1, 2025, and prizes mailed to winners.
