Race Details
- 5K Course: Starting and ending at Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ (EBIC)
- Kids Run: No event fee. Sign up online: sponsored by Tatted Toy Guys and LIV-Etown.
- T-shirts: Available to all 5K participants signed up by November 5th.
- Finisher's Medal: All 5K finishers will receive a medal.
Family-friendly Experience
- Thanksgiving Tradition: Come out on Thanksgiving morning to exercise before your feast.
- Special Activity: "Catch" a stuffed turkey to receive a gift card for a turkey.
- Awards: Age group awards by 10-year age groups and overall finisher awards.
- Registration: Online until 4:00 PM on 11/25/2026: in-person registration starts at 6:45 AM on race day.
Parking Information
- Parking Restrictions: Do not park in blocked off areas or on grassy areas.
- Limited Parking: Available at the EBIC parking lot.
- Overflow Parking: At Bear Creek School, East High Elementary School, and nearby Fair Grounds.

Competition and Contest Details
- Family Gathering Contest: Award for the biggest family gathering at the event.
- Entry Requirement: Each family member must register for either the 5K or the Kids Fun Run.
- Designate Captain: Each group must have a family captain.
- Prize: A family gift pack worth ~$100 for the winning family.
Costume Contest
- Eligibility: Must be a participant in the 2026 Great Turkey Chase 5K.
- Photo Submission: Submit photos with visible bib numbers to the Great Turkey Chase Facebook page.
- Judging Criteria: Based on creativity, fun, and holiday spirit.
- Prizes: Gift cards for first place winners, with announcements on December 1, 2026.

- Dog Policy: Dogs are not allowed on the race course for safety reasons.
