Great Turkey Chase 5K

🦃 Event Overview

• Event: 8th annual Great Turkey Chase to benefit ECHOS in Elizabethtown.
• Date: 2025-11-27
• Location: 996 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA.
• Registration: Online up until 4:00 on 11/26/2025. In-person registration on race day starting at 6:45 AM.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• 5K Course: Starting and ending at Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ (EBIC), the race runs through the streets of Elizabethtown.
• Kids Run: No event fee, two events: Approximate 1/4 mile course that can be run one, two, three or four times.
• Sponsorship: Kids run sponsored by Tatted Toy Guys and LIV-Etown.
• Participant Perks: T-shirts to all 5K participants signed up by November 5th and finisher's medal to all 5K finishers.

🎉 Family Fun

• Family Friendly: A great opportunity to make family memories and start Thanksgiving traditions.
• Exercise: Come out on Thanksgiving morning to get some exercise before your Thanksgiving feast.
• Turkey Catch: "Catch" a stuffed turkey and receive a gift card for purchasing a turkey.
• Awards: Age group awards in 10-year age groups and overall finisher awards - Thanksgiving style!

🚗 Parking Information

• Parking Restrictions: DO NOT PARK in the blocked-off area of the parking lot, as it is reserved for the kids run.
• Limited Parking: Parking is available at the EBIC parking lot, but overflow parking at Bear Creek School, East High Elementary School, and nearby Fair Grounds.
• Grass Areas: DO NOT PARK on grassy areas at the church.

🐾 Pet Policy

• Dogs: Although we love our furry friends, dogs are not allowed on the race course for safety reasons.
• Refund Policy: The Great Turkey Chase does not offer refunds under any circumstances due to pre-race costs affiliated with each registration.

🦃 Contests & Prizes

• Family Gathering Contest: Award for the biggest family gathering: entry forms available at the ECHOS table.
• Contest Rules: "Family member" includes anyone you consider family: must be registered for either race.
• Costume Contest: Awards for individuals and groups showing the most Thanksgiving Day Spirit.
• Submission: Photo entries must be submitted on the Great Turkey Chase Facebook page.
