Event Details

• Date: 2025-11-27
• Location: 996 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA
• 5K Course: Starting and ending at Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ (EBIC)

Kids Run

• Fee: No event fee. Sign up online!
• Course: Approximate 1/4 mile course that can be run one, two, three or four times and a shorter run through blocked off parking lot.
• Sponsors: Kids run sponsored by Tatted Toy Guys and LIV-Etown, Elizabethtown!!
• T-shirt: Option for t-shirt purchase.

5K Race Highlights

• Loop Course: Runs through the streets of Elizabethtown.
• Family Friendly: Making family memories and Thanksgiving traditions!
• Pre-Race Tradition: Come out on Thanksgiving morning to exercise before your Thanksgiving feast.
• Catch a Turkey: "Catch" a stuffed turkey and receive a gift card that can be used to purchase a turkey.

Participant Benefits

• T-shirts: To all 5K participants signed up by November 5th.
• Medals: Finisher's medal to all 5K finishers.
• Awards: Age group awards by 10 year age groups and overall finisher awards-Thanksgiving style!
• Registration: Online until 4:00 PM on 11/26/2025: In person registration available starting at 6:45 AM on race day.

Parking Information

• Parking Restrictions: DO NOT PARK IN BLOCKED OFF AREA OF THE PARKING LOT and IN THE GRASSY AREAS AT THE CHURCH.
• Available Parking: Limited parking at EBIC, overflow available at Bear Creek School, East High Elementary School, and street parking.

Race Policies

• No Dogs: Although we love our furry friends, dogs are not allowed on the race course for safety reasons.
• No Refunds: The Great Turkey Chase does not offer refunds under any circumstances due to pre-race costs.

Contests

2025 Great Turkey Chase Family Gathering Contest

• Prize: Award for the biggest family gathering at the Great Turkey Chase.
• Eligibility: Each family member must be registered for either the 5K or the Kids Fun Run.
• Entry Form: Available at the ECHOS table in the registration area, due by 8:15 AM on race day.
• Winner Announcement: Announced at 9:10 AM prior to the Kids Run.

2025 Great Turkey Chase Costume Contest for 5K Participants

• Awards: For individuals and groups showing the most Thanksgiving Day Spirit!
• Eligibility: Must be participants in the 2025 Great Turkey Chase 5K.
• Photo Submission: To be submitted under the “2025 Great Turkey Chase Photo Contest” post on the Great Turkey Chase Facebook page.
• Judging Criteria: Based on creativity, fun, and holiday spirit.
