About the Event
- Organizer: Footprints of Michigan
- Celebration: A celebration of life and death of all ages.
- Tradition: The holiday originated in Mexico and is celebrated throughout Latin America and the US.
- Attire: Participants are encouraged to wear traditional Dia de los Muertos face paint, flowers, and other attire.
Family Fun Event!
- Participation: Come dressed up and ready to celebrate tradition, community, and diversity.
- Kids Run: Carrera de Los Niños (Kids Run) available for young participants.
- Goodies: Kids will receive a medal, bib, and goodie bag (300 yards).
- Cost: Kids Run registration is $10 after pre-registration.
Cost and Registration
- 5K Registration: Pre-registration before October 16th (all ages) $40.00, includes Dia de los Muertos t-shirt.
- After Pre-registration: $45.00 (all ages), t-shirt only as supplies last.
- Awards: All participants (excluding kids run) will receive a Dia de Los Muertos finisher medal and t-shirt.
- Packet Pick Up: At Footprints of Michigan Office, 3010 W. Saint Joseph St. Lansing, MI 48917 from 4 PM to 6 PM on Friday, October 23rd.
Race Day Information
- Start Time: The race will start at 11:00 AM.
- Timing: The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
- Results: Live results will be available during the race and on the website.
- Participation Note: All participants are encouraged to join in the festivities.
