Event Overview

Join us for the 26th annual 5K and Scramble 10K.

Race Details

• Separate Courses: The 5K and 10K utilize different starts and courses!
• Location: Everything pre-and post-race is in the vicinity of the Nature Center at Lake Osprey, including parking, packet pick-up, starts, finish, and post-race activities.
• 5K Course: A more road-runner-friendly course with prepared or hard-packed surfaces: some tree roots and a section in "sugar sand."
• 10K Course: A challenging, technical trail course designed to challenge even experienced trail runners with features including pedestrian underpasses and overpasses.

Post-Race Amenities

Your registration includes a custom finisher's medal for all finishers as well as a post-race featuring hot dogs (veggie dogs on request), fruit, and other snacks. Participants will receive a tech race shirt as supplies last.

Race Shirt Notice

Race shirts will be ordered approximately three weeks before race day to ensure timely availability. All sizes will be in the online inventory at that time and will be available only while supplies last. Race shirts not picked up by the close of packet pick-up on race morning will be forfeited.

Timing and Results

Both the 5K and Scramble 10K have a gun start with a chip-timed finish (no timing mats at the races’ starts). Results will be available on-site and can be texted or emailed to you if you opt-in during registration.

Awards

5K and 10K Overall and Category Awards include:

• Overall Awards: Overall, Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), Senior Grandmasters (60+), Veteran Grandmasters (70+), and Youth Overall (14 & under).
• 5K Age Group Awards: 3-deep awards in categories of 9 & under, 10-12, 13-14, and 5-year increments from 15-19 to 90 & over.
• Scramble 10K Age Group Awards: 3-deep awards in categories of 14 & under and 5-year increments from 15-19 to 80 & over.

Registration Discounts

Young runners receive special registration pricing compliments of the Friends of Oscar Scherer Park (applied automatically during checkout). Members of the Friends of Oscar Scherer Park can email for a discount coupon code. Members in good standing of local running and triathlon clubs with membership on RunSignUp will have their club membership discount applied automatically during registration.
