Yá'át'ééh, riders! Welcome to the Asaayi Bike Race!

📝 REGISTRATION

• Online Registration: Now open until noon on Friday the 25th.
• Registration Fee: Includes professional timing, event t-shirt, light post-race food, finisher’s medals to all, course support, and awards to top finishers.
• Race Day: Registration and packet pick-up will occur an hour before the start at the end of the pavement at Asaayi Jct.
• Proceeds: Benefit the work of the Dine’ Bike Project on the Navajo Nation.

🛣️ ROUTES

• Course Distance: 20.6 mile paved course from Asaayi Jct to Hwy 12 just north of Navajo, to Crystal Jct and then on NM Hwy 134 to Narbona Pass.
• Scenery: The route is scenic, featuring red rock buttes and towers of the area.
• Final Climb: The climb finishes at one of the iconic spots on the Nation!
• Traffic Notice: The road will be open to public traffic: please be aware of your surroundings and vehicles.

💪 SUPPORT

• Includes: Light medical and minor mechanical support.
• Aid Stations: Located roughly half-way along the route and at the finish line.
• Course Marshals: Monitoring the race throughout for assistance as needed.
• Recommended: Riders are encouraged to carry some light mechanical items and a pump.

🌤️ WEATHER

• Summer Conditions: Expect temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s.
• Elevation: The race occurs at 7500-8000 feet elevation.
• Weather Variability: Cloud cover, wind or precipitation, including monsoons, are possible in late July.
• Forecast: Check the weather forecast a few days before the race, focusing on Window Rock, AZ.

🏅 AWARDS

• Finisher’s Medals: Awarded to all finishers.
• Overall Awards: For 1st and 2nd place, along with age-group winners.
• Youth Awards: Overall winner and runner-up awards for top boy and girl finishers in the youth race.
