Experience a beautiful fall run/walk at Lapham Peak State Forest while enjoying the wide, well-groomed trails.
🏃♂️ Race Courses
- 5K Course: The 5K course will tour the middle level of the park.
- 10K Course: The 10K course follows the outer perimeter trail.
- Fun Run: The children's Smokey Bear Fun Run is FREE THIS YEAR, with the course circling the pond at Homestead Hollow.
- Walking Trail: Walkers can stroll on the 2.5K paved accessible trail suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.
🎉 Post-Race Activities
- Refreshments: Enjoy free treats after the run/walk in our picnic shelter.
- Participant Perks: Participants will receive a long sleeve t-shirt and custom-designed Lapham Peak awards for run winners.
- Children's T-Shirt: Smokey Bear children can purchase an optional $5 t-shirt.
- Fundraiser: Colorama is a major fundraiser for Lapham Peak State Forest improvements.
🚗 Parking Information
- Vehicle Sticker: A 2026 WI DNR vehicle sticker or $10 special event parking fee is required for parking.
- Registration: Please arrive in time to pick up your number and t-shirt at the Trecker Lodge near Homestead Hollow.
- Quick Registration: Bring your cell phone to the registration table to assure a quick registration process.
- Untimed Walk: Walkers will be treated to a more casual style of an untimed morning.
