Lapham Peak Colorama Run/Walk

Race Overview

Experience a beautiful fall run/hike/walk at Lapham Peak State Forest while enjoying the wide, well-groomed trails.

Race Courses

• 5K Course: The course will tour the middle level of the park.
• 10K Course: The course follows the outer perimeter trail.
• Children's Fun Run: The Smokey Bear Fun Run course circles the pond at Homestead Hollow.
• Accessible Option: Walk on the 2.5K newly paved accessible trail suitable for wheelchairs or strollers.

Post-Race Enjoyment

Enjoy treats, including Smokey Bear Birthday Cake after the run/walk in our picnic shelter. Participants will receive a choice of long sleeve t-shirts and custom-designed Lapham Peak awards for run winners. Colorama is a major fundraiser for Lapham Peak State Forest Improvements.

Start Times and Registration

• New Start Times: The 10K will start at 9:30am, and the 5K and walks will start at 9:45am.
• Children's Run: Smokey’s run starts at 11am: kids may enter on race morning by 10:50am.
• Payment: We’ll accept payment day of just for this event.
• Timing: The 10K and 5K are both timed events with podium prizes awarded for overall and age groups.

Additional Information

Please arrive in time to pick up your number and t-shirt (if ordered) at the Trecker Lodge near Homestead Hollow. Bring your cell phone to the registration table to assure a quick registration process.
