The Glenside Fire Company – Stop, Drop & Run 5K is a fundraiser that benefits the all-volunteer Glenside Fire Company No. 1 in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
📍 Race Details
- Date: 2025-10-12
- Location: Glenside Fire Company Firehouse at 210 W. Glenside Avenue, Glenside, PA.
- Course: Both the 5K run and the 1.5 mile “fun” run/walk will start and finish at the firehouse, following two loops through scenic streets.
- Challenges: The course features a few rolling hills for an engaging experience.
🥳 After the Race
Come for the exercise, but stay for the fun! All race participants will be provided with breakfast foods, along with plenty of water. Those who are of age (21+) and interested will be able to join us in our beer garden for a complimentary beer. Entertainment and other amenities will be available and will be highlighted on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/GFC5K as race day approaches.
💰 Entry Fees
- Early Registration: $30.00 if registered by September 25th to receive a long-sleeved race shirt.
- Race Day Fee: $35.00 for entrants registered after September 25th.
- Shirt Availability: Shirts may be available to those registering after September 25th depending on availability.
🏅 Awards
- Top Finishers: Medals will be presented to Top Overall Male and Top Overall Female Finishers.
- Age Categories: Medals will also be awarded for Top Male and Top Female Finishers in various age groups (15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+).
- Kids Categories: The top 3 Male and top 3 Female Finishers will be recognized in kids' categories (7 and Under, 8-10 years, and 11-14 years).
📈 Results
The race will be professionally timed by the Bryn Mawr Racing Company - results will be found at www.brynmawrracing.com.
