Heart Healthy 5K and Fun Walk

Event Overview

• Organizer: The University of Findlay College of Pharmacy chapter of the American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP)
• Event: 11th Annual Heart Healthy 5K and 3rd Annual 1.4 mile Fun Walk
• Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
• Location: Griffith Memorial Arch, University of Findlay campus

Purpose

• Heart Health: A founding pillar of APhA-ASP
• Proceeds: A portion of proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association
• New Path: This year's race features a new path that starts and finishes at the Griffith Memorial Arch
• Homecoming Weekend: Part of the University of Findlay's Homecoming celebrations

Registration Information

• Time: Registration/packet pick-up begins at 8am
• Location: Front of Old Main (1000 N Main St, Findlay, OH 45840)
• Activities: Students from the College of Pharmacy will host educational activities
• Raffle: Visit all student tables for entry into the raffle drawing with exciting prizes

Race Day Details

• Announcements: Pre-race announcements will take place at the start line after registration
• Timing: The race will begin promptly at 9am, with professional timing by Run Toledo
• Raffle Drawing: Winners for the raffle will be drawn after the race (must be present to win)
• Post-Race Care: Free physical therapy services offered by students from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Parking Information

• Location: Park at Winebrenner Theological Seminary (950 N Main St, Findlay, OH 45840)
• Cost: Parking is free
• Access: A quick walk to the registration area

• Shirts: Available while supplies last
• Virtual Participants: Submit race times at the Race Time Submission Form
