Runs With Scissors Races

Race Date and Time

• Date: April 25, 2026
• Start Time: All races begin at 7:00 a.m.
• Distances: Half Marathon, Marathon, and 50K

Registration Information

• Finisher's Medal: To have your name included on the finisher's medal ribbon, and to guarantee a finisher medal, register before March 20, 2026.
• Contact: If registration for a distance is full, email InTheLongRunLLC@outlook.com for possible registration options.

Race Location

• Venue: The race will take place at Riverdale Regional Park in Brighton, Colorado.
• Course: A 1.31-mile loop course with restrooms and aid stations every 1.31 miles.
• Laps: The half marathon is 10 laps, the marathon is 20 laps, and the 50K is 24 laps.

Charity Support

• Donation: A portion of all race proceeds will be donated to Almost Home, Inc.
• Individual Donations: You can give an individual donation by clicking on the donate button or adding a donation at checkout.

Awards and Swag

• Prizes: Awards will be given to the overall top three male and female in each distance (no duplicates).
• Finisher's Items: A race-specific wicking beanie and a custom "scissors-shaped" medal will be given to all finishers.
• Participant Gift: All registered participants will receive a custom 16 oz. pub-style glass.
• Opt-Out Discount: New this year: Opt out of the beanie and/or pint glass for a race discount.

Packet Pick-Up

• Location: Pick-up at Something Brewery, 117 N. Main St., Brighton, CO.
• Timing: From 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm the night before the race.
• Race Day: Packet pick-up will be at the Riverdale Regional Park pavilion, including bib and pint glass (may not include the swag bag).

Virtual Option

• Running Window: Run your distance anytime from April 17, 2026, to April 26, 2026.
• Time Reporting: Instructions on reporting your time will be sent out prior to April 17, 2026.
• Medal Guarantee: You will receive a race medal with your name included on it if registered prior to March 20, 2026.
• Beanies: A distance-specific beanie is included: pint glasses are not included but may be purchased separately at the race store.
