🎉 Welcome to the 44th Annual Shiprock Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K

Shiprock Youth Center – Friday, April 30 & Saturday, May 1, 2027

The 2027 Shiprock Marathon will provide a unique and memorable running experience the first weekend of May in Shiprock, New Mexico!

🏃‍♀️ 5K Trail Race

Start Time: 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30
Awards: Top individual (overall and age-group top three) and team winners
Perks: All runners will receive a performance t-shirt, race poster, swag, and post-race snacks
New Events: Elder's Run at 3:00 p.m. (no timing or awards)

🏅 Marathon Details

Start Time: 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2
Start/Finish Area: Shiprock
Certification: USATF Certified Course, Boston Qualifier
Awards: Age groups awarded to the top 3 in 5-year increments

🏃‍♂️ Half Marathon

Start Time: 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 2
Awards: Age groups awarded to the top 3 in 5-year increments

👥 Team Race Opportunities

Events: Team Race for the 5K on Friday evening, along with Team Race for the Half Marathon and Marathon on Saturday
Team Size: Minimum of 5 members to compete for awards
Registration: Reply "YES" to join or create a team during registration
No Extra Cost: There is no extra fee to participate as a team

🌄 Course Highlights

Views: Stunning views of Shiprock Pinnacle with a gentle downhill on the return
Live Music: Expect performances from various artists along the course
Course Support: Great support teams and amenities along the route
Time Cutoffs: Be aware of two time cutoffs on course to ensure timely completion

🎟️ Packet Pickup

Packet pick-up will take place at the large Shiprock Youth Center parking lot on Friday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. and again from 6:00-6:45 a.m. on Saturday morning.

🚗 Race Day Parking

Race day in Shiprock is exciting and busy, so please take a minute to review this information about parking.

From Farmington: Drive west on Hwy 64 for approximately 30 miles: event parking will be on your right in Shiprock
From the South: Event parking will be on your left as you enter Shiprock

📋 Race Day Logistics

Results & Timing: Results available via QR codes throughout the finish area or at www.rmtiming.co
Course Support: Aid stations every mile with refreshments and medical support
Course Cutoffs: Marathon and Half must be off N13 by noon and finished by 2:00 p.m.

🍕 The Finish Line

Food Area: Hearty snack boxes, beverages, and food trucks serving pizza and fresh fruit
Post-Race Party: Live music, food, and awarding medals to finishers
Awards: Overall and age-group winners receive prizes: results based on gun time
