🏅 What is a Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk?

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001.
• Memorial: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military.

📏 How far is a Tunnel to Towers 5K Run, Walk, & Climb?

• Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles).
• Participation: You are welcome to walk or run this event.

🕒 What is the best time to register?

• Timing: The best time to register is always RIGHT NOW.
• Price Changes: Registration is tied to a price tiering system with increases occurring regularly.

👶 What is the age limit?

• Inclusivity: There is no age limit. All are welcome!

🅿️ Is there parking available?

• Garages: Free parking is available at the Arts District Parking Garage located at 712 24th Avenue Meridian, MS 39301.
• Carpooling: Please carpool if you can or park in permitted residential areas surrounding City Hall Lawn.

🎫 Where can I pick up my packet (Race bib and T-shirts)?

• Pickup Options: Check back closer to the event for more pickup options.
• Morning Pickup: Packet pickup will also be available the morning of the event at City Hall Lawn.

👤 Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

• Authorization: Yes, they can pick up your packet.
• Receipt: They must present a copy of your registration receipt.

🎽 Do I have to wear my bib number?

• Visibility: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.

🏁 I am a fast runner. Can I get a front line position?

• Positioning: Runners predicting a faster pace may make their way to the front of the line, based on space availability.

⏱️ Will the Event be timed?

• Timing: Yes, the event will be timed.
• Personal Tracking: You are also welcome to use a smartphone or watch to keep up with your own time.

💧 Will water be available?

• Stations: A water station will be available along the route and at the start/finish.
• Preparation: Please hydrate before the event starts, or bring water with you if necessary.

🍔 Will there be food at the event?

• Vendors: We are working with local food trucks and vendors to bring food on-site at the event.

👜 What can you bring to the event?

• Personal Items: You will be responsible for all of your personal belongings you bring to the event.
• Security: Please leave anything that you do not want to run/walk with locked securely in your vehicle.

👶🚼 Can I run with a stroller, backpack, wheelchair, roller blades, bicycle, etc?

• Allowed: You can participate with a stroller, wheelchair, and/or backpack.
• Not Allowed: No roller blades, bicycles, or pets.

👕 What should I wear if I am participating?

• Clothing: General public should wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
• Patriotism: We encourage everyone to wear patriotic colors and carry flags if you would like.
