Home Run for Recovery

🏃‍♂️Event Overview

2025 brings in our 11th year of our 5K Honor Run/Walk and 10K Road Race - the only Road Race in La Crosse County - to honor those we may have lost to addiction, who are struggling in active addiction or those that are thriving in recovery!

📊Impact of Addiction

• Statistics: More Wisconsinites are dying from drug overdoses, in the last 7 years there has been an average of 1,359 deaths, 151 of those in La Crosse County.
• Widespread Effects: All of us have been touched in some way by addiction.
• Cycles of Struggle: Some in their pain still trapped in the addiction cycle, others working through stages of recovery.
• Hope for Change: Recovery from substance use and the cycle of addiction is achievable.

🌟Objectives of the Race

• Raise Awareness: Educating participants about what addiction is.
• Support Local Resources: Highlighting the Coulee Recovery Center and the resources available.
• Fundraising: Raising funds for recovery support and relapse prevention programming.
• Celebrating Recovery: This run celebrates the possibility of living a full and wholesome life free from addiction.

🥇Race Details

Home Run for Recovery will be a 5K Run/Walk, 10K Road Race and Little Leaguer's race around the bases (for young kids) or around the warning track (older kids) of the Logger's Baseball Stadium.

A unique trait of this race is that all races will lead off at home plate of the Logger's Stadium, Copeland Park, La Crosse, WI. As you return "Home," the crowd can watch you cross the finish line (or slide into home plate if you so desire) like their favorite Loggers on game day.

👕Participant Perks

• T-Shirt: Participants in the 10K and 5K will receive a T-shirt with each registration.
• Youth Memorabilia: Stay for the little leaguers races where youth participants get free Logger's memorabilia.
• Timely Results: Races will be timed and results will be split into four categories for the top three men and women, who will be provided with an award.
• Prize Categories: Ages: 19 and under, 20-39, 40-59, and 60 and above.

📝Registration Information

If you register by August 1st, you will be guaranteed the t-shirt size you registered for. Come out and support a great cause!

Registration is open from Monday, June 2nd to Thursday, August 28th at midnight. Same day registration will be available at an additional cost.

💰Registration Costs

• 10K: $35*
• 5K: $25*
• Little Leaguers Race: FREE, just show up day of event.
• Race Day Cost: Additional $5.

📅Important Dates

Results: Results will be provided on the Home Run Facebook page (Facebook) and the Home Run page (Coulee Recovery Center).

Race Bibs Pickup: will be on Friday, August 29th from 4-7pm at Coulee Recovery Center (933 Ferry St. La Crosse, WI) or at Logger Stadium on race day starting at 6:30am.
