🚩 New Course Details

• Location: 110 Blue Devil Drive, Independence, VA
• Date: July 4, 2025
• Event: 11th annual 5k and Down Hill Mile
• Course Rating: 5k is medium/hard with some hills: downhill mile is super fast!

⏰ Starting Times

• 7:00-7:45: Race day registration
• 7:45: Down hill mile start
• 8:10ish: 5k start
• 10:00: Independence Parade

💲 Registration Information

• Pricing: Down hill mile - $25, 5K - $25, Down hill/5k double - $30
• Fun Run: Free Kids fun run available

🏁 Race Course Details

• 5k Route: Begins in GCHS parking lot, right onto Main St., then left on Nautilus Way, right onto Powerhouse RD, enter trail to Grayson Rec. Pool, right onto County Park Lane, first right into lower field parking area, follow cones to Industrial Park Lane, right onto sidewalk (Main St.) to return to school.
• Down Hill Mile: Starts on sidewalk in front of Carter National Bank (Main St.), straight on the sidewalk to Grayson Industrial Park to finish. 100 percent downhill!
• Shuttle: You will be shuttled back to GCHS after the mile.
• Awards: Winner plaque for male/female awards and finisher medals.
