🏞️ Course Description

• Certification: USATF CERTIFIED Half Marathon course rarely strays from the waters edge of scenic Storm Lake.
• Terrain: This run is primarily flat with little elevation change, making for a fast course: perfect for a certification run.
• 5k Details: Our 5k is a nice loop course that circles back and finishes just beyond King's Pointe beach and playground.
• Community Experience: Enjoy the community of Storm Lake, home to around 30 different languages and a great selection of restaurants and shops.

🤝 Half Marathon Relay

• Team Options: Our Half Marathon Relay offers two-person or four-person team options.
• Coordination: Teams are responsible for coordinating their own handoff points along the course.
• Distance Division: Runners can divide the distance as they see fit, whether splitting it evenly or having one runner cover more ground.
• Registration: The only requirement is to register as either a two-person or four-person relay.

🎽 Runner Amenities

• T-Shirt: Every runner will get an awesome high-quality t-shirt, perfect for running gear.
• Finisher Medal: All runners will also receive a finisher medal.
• Packet Pick Up: Will be Friday, August 29 at King's Pointe Resort from 4:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 6-7:00 a.m.
• Starting Line: All races begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 30 at King's Pointe Resort near the hotel lobby.

💧 Course Logistics

• End Point: All races will end at Awaysis Park (1409 E. Lakeshore Dr. Storm Lake, IA).
• Parking: You can park your car at the resort or at the park as the race starts and ends within the resort area.
• Water Stations: There will be 6 water stations on the half-marathon route and 1 for the 5-k, evenly spaced with water and Gatorade.
• Finish Line Fun: We will have snacks, music, and refreshments available for runners at the finish line.
