• Event: Step Up Half Marathon, Relay & 5k

Course Details

• Half Marathon: USATF CERTIFIED course rarely strays from the waters edge of scenic Storm Lake.
• Terrain: Primarily flat with little elevation change, making it a fast course.
• 5k Course: A nice loop course that circles back and finishes just beyond King’s Pointe beach and playground.
• Community: Experience the diversity of Storm Lake, home to around 30 different languages, restaurants, and shops.

Half Marathon Relay

• Team Options: Two-person or four-person teams available.
• Handoff Points: Teams coordinate their own handoff points along the course with Lake Pointe Villa as a halfway mark.
• Distance Division: Runners can divide the distance as they see fit.
• Registration: Must register as a two-person or four-person relay.

Runner Perks

• T-shirt: Every runner receives a high-quality race t-shirt perfect for running gear.
• Medal: All runners will receive a finisher medal.
• Snacks: Snacks, music, and refreshments available at the finish line.
• Water Stations: 6 water stations on the half marathon route and 1 for the 5k, offering water and Gatorade.

Event Logistics

• Packet Pick Up: Friday, September 4 at King's Pointe Resort from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or on Saturday from 6-7:00 a.m.
• Starting Times: Half marathon and relays at 7:00 a.m., 5k at 8:00 a.m. on September 5th.
• Finish Line: All events end at Awaysis Park, 1409 E. Lakeshore Dr, Storm Lake, IA.
• Parking: Available at the resort or at the park as the race starts and ends within the resort area.
