Step Up Half Marathon, Relay & 5k

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• USATF Certified: Half Marathon course rarely strays from the waters edge of scenic Storm Lake.
• Flat Course: This run is primarily flat with little elevation change and makes for a fast course: perfect for a certification run.
• 5k Loop: Our 5k is a nice loop course that circles back and finishes just beyond King's Pointe beach and playground.
• Community Experience: Enjoy the diversity and a great selection of restaurants and shops in Storm Lake.

🎽 Runner Perks

• T-shirt: Every runner will get an awesome t-shirt that is high quality and perfect for running gear.
• Finisher Medal: All runners will also receive a finisher medal.

🗺️ Route Information

• Start Location: ROUTE starts at Kings Pointe Resort: please visit this link: USATF Course Certification.
• Finish Location: All races will end at the Awaysis Park (1409 E. Lakeshore Dr. Storm Lake, IA).
• Parking: You can park your car at the resort or at the park as the race starts and ends within the resort area.

📅 Events Schedule

• Packet Pick Up: Friday, August 29 at King's Pointe Resort from 4:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. Also available Saturday morning from 6-7:00 am.
• Start Time: All Races begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday August 30 at Kings Pointe Resort near the hotel lobby.

💧 Water Stations

• Half Marathon: There will be 6 water stations on the half marathon route.
• 5k: There will be 1 water station for the 5-K.
• Refreshments: Water and Gatorade will be available at the stations.

🎉 Finish Line Fun

• Snacks: We will have snacks, music, and refreshments available for runners at the finish line.
