Wagner's Tuscaloosa Turkey Trot

Event Overview

Join us for the 17th Annual Wagner's Turkey Trot!

Kick off Thanksgiving week with family, friends, and the Tuscaloosa running community on Saturday, November 22 at 8:00 AM. The race will start at Wagner's Team Sports in Northport, right next to our race partner Iron Tribe Fitness and just down the road from Dreamland BBQ.

All proceeds from the Turkey Trot benefit Magic Moments, Alabama’s child wish-granting charity.

• Family of 5: $43
• Family of 6: $45

Please note t-shirts will not be included in the cost of registration. They will be available to purchase for $8 each as you go through the steps to register.

Pick Up Your Race Bib

Friday: at Wagner's RunWalk store downtown, from 12-6pm (420 Queen City Ave). We strongly encourage you to pick up your bib on Friday to ensure a smooth race morning for everyone!

Saturday: at Wagner's Team in Northport, from 7-7:30am (406 Bridge Ave). Please arrive with plenty of time. We may not be able to give bibs to participants who arrive to pick their bib up after 7:30am.

If you purchased a t-shirt, those will be available to pick up with your bib Friday and Saturday. Please remember, t-shirts are not included in the price of registration this year. It’s not too late to get yours! They are available to purchase for $8 here. The last day to guarantee your shirt size is Thursday 11/13.

Parking

We will be directing parking to the following areas:

• Fenced in gravel parking lot: next to Wagner's Team building
• Under the Bridge: at the old Levee
• Collins Riverside Intermediate School: parking lot
• Across from Bell Auto Parts: parking lot

Restroom Access

Portalets will be along the fence of the gravel parking lot. You can also find bathrooms inside Wagner's building and inside Iron Tribe building.

Start & Finish Line

The Start and Finish will be located on Bridge Ave, directly in front of the Wagner’s/Iron Tribe building. Please make sure not to cross the start line prior to the start of the race to ensure accurate timing. The race will start promptly at 8am. Please be ready at the start line by 7:55am. We ask that walkers, strollers, and wheelchairs start towards the back of the pack to allow more space for runners to pace themselves.

Course Directions

Begin running on Bridge Ave towards the river.

Turn left onto 3rd St.

Turn right onto E Circle Loop and follow to the end.

Turn right to get back onto 3rd St.

Turn left onto 1st Access to Northport Riverwalk and follow until the turnaround.

Turn right onto 3rd St.

Turn left onto Northport Riverwalk at Parker Towing, and follow to the old Levee parking lot.

Cut across the parking lot and turn left onto 1st St, staying to the left.

Turn around at Main Ave and continue back up 1st St, staying to the right.

Turn Left onto Bridge Ave and continue to the Finish Line.

Post Race Fun

After the race, enjoy complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and light food provided by our sponsors.

While we won’t have a giveaway table or announce awards this year, we’ve added even more family activities and special touches to make the morning a great experience for everyone.

Children 10 and under: will receive a finishers medal as they cross the finish line.

Special guests: Throughout the morning, you’ll see special guest appearances from Disney Princesses and Superheroes.

We’re very excited to have two bounce houses on site, suitable for kids of all ages! Be sure to stop by our designated photo op area to snap a picture—and don’t forget to tag us at @WagnersTurkeyTrot.

Age group awards and official race results will be available by the registration tent.

All participants will be entered for door prizes, including two pairs of shoes, local retailer gift cards and gift packs, and a frozen Turkey.
