Lake Placid Marathon and Half and 10K

Event Details

• Date: Sunday, June 14, 2026
• Start Time: 8am
• Cutoff Time: 2pm for both Marathon and Half
• Concurrent Event: 10K will run concurrently

Race Course

• Half Marathon: A single loop out and back
• Marathon: A double out and back
• Location: Begins/ends on Main St. at the Olympic Speedskating Oval
• Terrain: Combination of flat, rolling, and some hills with mountain views

Aid Stations and Limits

• Aid Stations: Well-stocked along the route
• Course Limit: Generous six (6) hour course limit for each race
• Food: Athlete food at the Race Finish
• Finisher Awards: Quality finisher medal and a 2026 race T-shirt

Event Recognition

• Ranking: Ranked #2 “Best Destination” Race in the USA by Runner’s World Magazine
• Inclusivity: Walker-friendly and ideal for team/group events
• Age Restrictions: Marathon participants must be 16 years or older
• Child Participation: Requires parent’s signature IN PERSON at registration for those under 18

Charity Component

• Charity Donations: Funds go to Lake Placid Junior Class and Tri Lakes Humane Society
• Global Charities: Includes ACLU, Doctors Without Borders
• Special Charity: North Elba Christmas Fund will be a check-off option for a limited time

Registration Information

• Transfers and Refunds: Not available: deferrals subject to approval with a re-registration fee
• Event Insurance: Recommended in case you cannot attend
• Athlete Gifts: Not guaranteed for those registering after May 9, 2026
• Registration: Early registration is encouraged for shirts and name inclusion in the merch store
