16th Annual Gobbler Gallop Trail Run/Walk 1 Mile

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

A fun Thanksgiving morning race that has become a family tradition for families in the Saginaw Valley Area. The 5k course is a single loop on a beautiful wooded trail along the scenic Tittabawassee River. The 1m Youth Run is a Single loop in the back of the park.

💰 Registration Costs

• Standard Fees: Get your morning run in for just $15 with a shirt or $5 without a shirt by registering by 11/1 to be guaranteed a shirt.
• Increased Fees: After 11/1 shirts are not guaranteed and the cost goes up to $10 per participant.
• Registration Time: Race day registration will take place from 8:00 - 9:00 am at the pavilion at the back of the park.
• Shirt Quality: Once again this year the shirts will be a long sleeve moisture wicking shirt.

📅 Important Dates

• Bib and Shirt Pick-up: Pre Race day on 11/27 at the Saginaw Runners Athletic Company Store from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
• Location: Runners Athletic Company - 4605 Bay Rd. Saginaw, MI 48604
• Race Day Registration: Begins at 8:00 am.
• Race Times: 1 mile youth (k-8th) trail run is at 9:00 am: 5K trail run and walk ~ 9:20 am.

🥇 Awards and Prizes

• No Frills: There are no age group awards, but an accurately measured course and a timed race with results.
• Custom Medals: Custom finisher medals will be awarded to the top 5 finishers per gender in each race.
• Overall Winners: Individual male and female winners of the 5k Run, 5k Walk and 1 Mile Run will each receive either a pumpkin or apple pie.
• Costume Fun: Come dressed in Thanksgiving costume for extra fun... rumor has it there will be at least one big turkey!

🎯 Cause and Support

ALL proceeds benefit the Hawks Running Club LLC, support the youth running movement in the Saginaw Township Area!
