Fall Creek Falls Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Road Runs

Event Overview

Come enjoy the beauty of Tennessee's most popular state park. Cooler temps, shaded run course, and the highest free-falling waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains are just a few of the attractions of the Fall Creek Falls Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Runs. Post-race snacks and music for all participants. Centrally located between Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville. Race start time is 7 AM Central Time.

Run Course Details

Run Course is all paved through trails and roads throughout the park.

Aid Stations & Athlete Amenities

• Stations: Aid stations will have cups of WATER & GATORADE and will be at each of 5 stations on loop.
• Preparation: Athletes are urged to carry a bottle or container for re-fill.
• Event Updates: Additional information and clarification will go out August 1st.
• Rewards: T-SHIRTS & FINISHER MEDAL/AWARD FOR EACH DISTANCE.

Registration & Packet Pickup

• No On-Site Registration: NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION and Packet Pickups.
• Packet Pickup Location: Packet Pickup is at the race site at the baseball diamond adjacent from the Welcome Center at 2009 Village Camp Rd.
• Pickup Times: Packet pick up is Saturday, August 15 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM CST & Sunday, August 16 from 6 AM to 15 minutes prior to each race start.
• Race Start Times: Half Marathon will start at 7:00 AM & 10K at 7:15 AM & 5K at 7:30 AM.

Course Routing

Routes begin & end through the Taft Village area and across Fall Creek Falls Dam - 5K does an out & back on paved path through woods to LEFT after Dam - Half Marathon & 10K route goes RIGHT after Dam & follows paved path & park roads past the Inn at Fall Creek Falls back to Dam and FINISH in Taft Village area. Half Marathon is TWO-LOOPS of paved bike trail / park road sections. Timing verification points will be along course. Aid stations each mile with water & Base Performance. Path route is completely shaded. Please stay on side of road marked with TRAFFIC CONES on the MAIN PARK ROAD of the course.

Race Location

Fall Creek Falls State Park, Pikeville, TN (please allow extra travel time – park is remote & rural but worth the trip!)

The event site is adjacent to the Welcome Center at 2009 Village Camp Rd. Spencer TN 38585.

Age Groups and Awards

Overall awards for the top three male and female finishers, top male and female Masters (40+). Age group awards for first, second, and third place in the following M & F age groups: 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45- 49, 50-55, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

Insurance and Refund Policy

• Event Insurance: Bald Eagle Events has enabled event insurance for your consideration in the event you are unable to compete.
• Refund Policy: Bald Eagle Events has a NO REFUND policy. Insurance is available during the registration of each event.
• Non-Transferable: Race entries are non-transferable between individuals.

Event Cancellation Policy

If Natural Disaster or Community Disaster occurs, our action steps are as follows:

• Safety First: Bald Eagle Events in concert with local officials will make decisions based on safety first.
• Course Alterations: Courses and/or race segments will be altered as agreed to between Bald Eagle Events and local officials.
• Fees Acknowledgment: Each registered participant needs to accept the risk of his or her entry fee.
• No Refunds: There will be NO REFUNDS or free entries to future races.
