Amigos De Bolsa Chica, in conjunction with Bolsa Chica State Beach is hosting a run/walk/beach cleanup. The categories include:

• 5K: Join us for a fun run along the scenic beach.
• 10K: A longer challenge for those looking for a rigorous run.
• 1K Fun Run: A shorter distance, perfect for families and kids.
• Plogging: A unique opportunity to pick up litter while jogging.

The event is at Bolsa Chica State Beach, April 26, 2025, 8:00 AM.

🌊 Course and Purpose

Run and Walk along the beach on a flat and fast course. Proceeds help the Amigos de Bolsa Chica's (a 501c3 non-profit established in 1976) efforts to offer environmental leadership roles to all by providing community-based education programs centered on the Bolsa Chica that create greater awareness of coastal California's threatened biodiversity.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family-Friendly Expo

There is a family-friendly expo at the basketball courts with demonstrations, showing what Amigos de Bolsa Chica is all about. Look at Bolsa Chica water samples through microscopes, learn about the wetlands and the birds that visit there, and explore what we can do to protect the environment and the wildlife of the wetlands.

⏰ Check-In and Race Times

Check in begins at 7 AM at the basketball courts at Bolsa Chica State Beach. 5K and 10K begin at 8 AM. Kids fun run starts at 9 AM.

🏅 Race Benefits

• Fast Course: All-American, flat and fast race course.
• Timing: Chip timing for 5K and 10K run and plogging (not for the kids fun run).
• T-shirts: Race t-shirts (guaranteed only for pre-registration by March 15).
• Medals: Participation medal at the finish line.
• Parking: Free parking at Bolsa Chica State Beach before 8 AM ($15 dollar value).
