🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Event Name: 2nd Annual WAWA Adventure Crawl AKA WAC

• Location: 1563 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, FL
• Distance: Approximately 50k and newly added 20 miler

🌟 Adventure Format

• Not a Race: This is an adventure event where you run from one Wawa to another.
• Check-in: Purchase an item from each store to support local businesses.
• Team Requirement: Partner up with at least one other runner: start and finish together.
• Assistance: Crews can assist only at Wawa stores, with exceptions on the final leg.

🚦 Urban Adventure Rules

• Obey Traffic Laws: Only cross streets at intersections with stoplights or stop signs.
• Parking: Park at Best Bet poker room for the 20 mile event or at Start/Finish of the 50k.
• Designated Drivers: Available for those parking at the poker room for a return ride.
• No Joy Rides: Participants may not use vehicles except in the case of DNF.

🥇 Participant Awards

• Awards: Participant awards and finisher medals will be given.
• Rule 62 Award: Additional surprise awards will be announced on the FB group page.
• Low Cost: Event focuses on affordability while supporting local causes.
• Route Information: Route will be available as a downloadable GPX file.

🐾 Community Contribution

• Support Local Shelters: Bring dog/cat food or items for shelter animals.
• Optional Donations: A donation button will be available for additional support.
• Capacity: Limited to 60 participants for an intimate experience.
• Beneficiary: Proceeds support Friends of Jacksonville Animals.

🕒 Logistics and Safety

• Emergency Contact: Carry a cell phone for emergencies or if unable to continue.
• Time Limit: 12-hour cutoff to avoid night-time running.
• Directional Skills: Participants will need to rely on navigation skills: limited directional aids.
• Fun Journey: Enjoy a low-key adventure while giving back to the community!
