Frederick County Parks and Recreation Youth Running Club

🏃‍♂️ Overview

We’re excited to welcome young runners ages 7–14, no matter their experience level. This session focuses on building endurance, improving form, and making running fun and rewarding for everyone.

📅 Registration and Events

• Includes: Entry into two exciting local races: Trails 4 Miles (October 11) and the Thanksgiving Day 5K (November 27).
• End of Season Event: There will be an end of season event at Byrd Middle School.
• Focus: Proper running technique, dynamic stretching, pacing strategies, and teamwork throughout the season.

🎽 What to Bring

• Footwear: Running shoes are essential.
• Hydration: Water to stay hydrated during practice.
• Snacks: A healthy snack to fuel your body.

• Ages: 7-14
• Dates: August 18-October 15
• Days: M/W
• Time: 6:00-7:00pm

❗ Important Note

No practice on Labor Day.
