🏁 Race Details

• Chipped Race: This time chipped race will start and finish at Omni Amelia Island Resort Racquet Park, located next to the Verandah restaurant.
• Scenic Route: Enjoy a scenic run, meandering through the beautiful, tree-canopied resort.
• Participation: Running or walking is acceptable. No animals and bicycles on course.
• Proceeds: A portion of the proceeds will benefit the First Coast YMCA.

📅 Registration Info

• Packet Pickup: Pre-registered participants can pick up race packets on Nov. 26th, 12pm-6pm at the Racquet Park conference room and on race day.
• Day of Registration: Packet pickup will take place on race day at race site from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
• Schedule:
  • 6:30 a.m. – Registration Opens
  • 8:00 a.m. – 5K Race Start
  • 8:45 a.m. - Fun Run - no chip timing
  • 9:00 a.m. – Awards Ceremony

🥇 Awards

• Awards Criteria: Race charms for top overall male and female, and top 3 male and female age groups will receive awards.
• Age Groups: Age groups include 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+.
• Location: Awards ceremony will take place after the race at the start/finish location.

🚗 Parking

• Location: Parking is plentiful next to the race start location.
• Start/Finish: The race starts and ends at the same location.

⏱️ Timing & Scoring

• Timing Method: Race will be timed and scored with a disposable chip provided, which will be attached to the back of the bib.
• Official Times: Official times will not be recorded without a chip.

• Course Length: The 5K is 3.1 miles.
• Timing System: The race uses an electronic timing system that records race time and place via a transponder chip that will be given out at registration.
• Results Access: Official results are provided by QR code for the top runners in each category and results are posted on the race website.

🌧️ Weather Policy

• Rain Policy: The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather.
• Umbrellas: Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.

👟 Additional Participation Info

• Stroller Participation: Yes, please start in the later part of the runners.
• Water Stations: Yes, but there will be a water station on the course as well at the finish.
• Emergency Assistance: Qualified emergency medical professionals are available to provide assistance at the start/finish lines.
• Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed on the course for participant safety.
