Event Overview

The Lakefest Mike Hill 10k began in 1976. Mike Hill, HK Cooper, and Bill Magruder wanted a race included in the bicentennial celebration.

Community Involvement

• Encouraged Participation: Mike encouraged businesses and people throughout the community to get involved in the race.
• Original Name: It was known as the Lakefest 10k until Mike's untimely passing in 2007.

Event Changes

After Mike's passing, the race was changed to the Lakefest Mike Hill 10k. Since then, a 5k has been added.
