Sweet Escape 5K 2025

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: The Sweet Escape 5K is a fundraiser for the South Carolina Youth Diabetes Association (SCYDA).
• Purpose: Funds raised will directly benefit Camp Sweet Escape, which serves children with Type 1 Diabetes in the tri-state area (SC, GA, NC).
• Impact: Each session typically serves over 100 campers, promoting diabetes education and ensuring their safety.
• Support: The event fosters connections among campers and provides a normal summer camp experience.

📅 Event Details

• Date: March 1st, 2025
• Time: Registration starts at 7:00 AM, 5K Run starts at 8:00 AM.
• Location: Jenkins County Courthouse - 611 E Winthrope Ave, Millen, GA 30442.
• Registration: $30 pre-registration: $35 on the day of the event.

🌐 Virtual Participation

• Option: Virtual 5K registration is available for $35, including shipping of a t-shirt.
• Completion: Virtual participants can complete the run at the time of race or before.
• Note: Virtual participants will not be awarded prizes.
• T-shirt Guarantee: Registrations after February 10th, 2025 are NOT guaranteed a t-shirt.
