Baddow Pass Firefighter 5K-10K-9.11 mile

Event Overview

The 3rd Annual Baddow Pass Firefighter 5K-10K-9.11 mile is being hosted by members of the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department in Glenmont, OH. We invite all firefighters and civilians to run or walk one of three events - 5K, 10K, or 9.11 mile.

Special Challenge

• 5K "Gear Grind": This is for firefighters wanting a challenge and wishing to complete the 5K in full turnout gear and SCBA (off air).
• Running Shoes: Running/walking shoes are recommended and encouraged for this event.

Event Purpose

The 9.11 mile event is meant to bring remembrance to all who were lost and honor all of those affected by the tragic event that occurred on 9/11/2001. This event is being held as a fundraiser for the department's special operations team.

Proceeds

• Gear and Equipment: Proceeds made will go towards new gear and equipment for our rope rescue team.
• Community Preparedness: Ensuring we are fully prepared to provide for our community when we are called upon.

Participant Benefits

• Pre-registration: All participants that pre-register will be given a T-shirt.
• Finisher Rewards: Those who finish their selected event will be given a Richland Township Fire Department challenge coin.
• Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each of the events will be awarded a medal.
• Younger Participants: Special recognition for our younger participants will also be provided.
