Race Details

• Starting Point: Cape Fear Botanical Garden
• Course Description: Races will feature different routes along the Cape Fear River Trail, a beautiful, paved greenway trail.
• On Course Support: There will be support throughout the course.
• Pets: No pets allowed at this event.

VIP Experience

• Exclusive Access: Private heated tent for VIPs only.
• Refreshments: VIP-only refreshments will be provided.
• Bag Storage: Secure bag storage for VIPs.
• Packet Pickup: VIP line for early packet pick up. Limited to 35 entrants.

10k Route

• Distance: 10k route using part of the Linear Park Trail and the Cape Fear River Trail.
• Turnaround: Passing under one trail trestle with an aid station at the turnaround point (2.83 miles).
• Race Cutoff: 8:30 AM (90 minutes), at a 14:29 minute mile pace.

Half Marathon Route

• Distance: 13.35 miles traversing the Cape Fear River Trail.
• Scenery: Pass under two covered trestles and by a waterfall.
• Aid Stations: Available at Clark Park (approximately 3.1 and 10.37 miles) and at the turnaround point (6.78 miles).
• Race Cutoff: 11:30 AM (3:15 hrs), at a 14:52 minute mile pace.

River Rage Challenge

• Double the Fun: Participants run both the 10k and the Half Marathon for a bonus challenge medal.
• Race Strategy: Finish the 10k and then start the Half Marathon, joining the crowd if you finish before 8:00 AM.
• Continued Running: If you finish after the Half starts, continue running without stopping.

Medals

• Medal Tent: Located near the finish line for medal collection.
• Unique Medals: Each race will feature unique bibs to help identify earned medals.
• Post Race: Collect your bling after completing your race or races.
