Cape Fear River Run

🏃‍♂️ Welcome to the Cape Fear River Run

Welcome to Fayetteville's newest running event! Runners wanted a longer event locally and here you go! This race will have three options: a 10k, a Half Marathon, and a River Rage Challenge where you can run both!

• Routes: Both races will feature different routes and use the Cape Fear River Trail.
• Trail Description: This trail is a beautiful, paved greenway trail along the Cape Fear River.
• Start/Finish: The start and finish line will be at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden.
• Course Support: There will be on course support. There will be no pets allowed at this event.

🎉 VIP Experience

This race will have an option to add on a VIP experience. This includes a private heated tent for VIPs only, VIP only refreshments, Bag storage, and VIP line for early packet pick up. Limited to 35 entrants.

🏅 10k Route Details

The 10k route will use part of the Linear Park Trail and the Cape Fear River Trail passing under one trail trestle.

• Aid Station: There will be an aid station at the turnaround point (2.83 miles).
• Race Cutoff: Race cutoff is 8:30AM (90 minutes).
• Pace: That is a 14:29 minute mile pace.

🏞️ Half Marathon Route Details

The Half Marathon route (13.35 miles) will traverse the Cape Fear River Trail and pass under two covered trestles and past a waterfall.

• Aid Stations: There will be aid at Clark Park (approximately 3.1 and 10.37 miles) and at the turnaround point (6.78 miles).
• Race Cutoff: Race cutoff is 11:30AM (3:15hrs).
• Pace: That is a 14:52 min mile pace.

🌀 River Rage Challenge

For those that want the extra challenge of the River Rage, you get to do both races! Start with the 10k race and finish. Then race the Half Marathon and finish for a bonus challenge medal!

• Starting Details: If you finish before the Half starts (800am) just wait and start with the crowd.
• Continuation: If you finish after the Half starts, just continue running.

🥇 Medals and Bibs

Speaking of medals, we will have a medal tent near the finish line. So after you complete your race or races, proceed to the medal tent to collect your bling!

• Unique Bibs: Each race will have unique bibs to help identify what medals you have earned.
