Event Overview
- Join us: Participate in the 58th annual Carson Park 5 & 10, western Wisconsin's longest-running run/walk event!
- Course: Enjoy a challenging, scenic course in and around Carson Park with the 10-mile course featuring the new stretch of trail between Rod and Gun Park and Carson Park.
- Post-race fun: Stick around for a Halloween costume contest with Scheels and Festival Foods gift card prizes, and free tours of the Chippewa Valley Museum.
- Treats: Enjoy a free ice-cream cone from the Museum's vintage ice-cream parlor for all finishers.

- Medals for kids: Medals to all kid’s run finishers.
- Top finishers: Medals to top three 5K and 10-mile age-group finishers.

The Carson Challenge
- Challenge yourself: Run your first or fastest 5K or within 2 minutes of your predicted 10-mile time (faster or slower).
- Recognition: Receive a Carson ball cap for completing the challenge.
Event Schedule
- 8:30 a.m: 5K & 10-mile run/walk.
- 9 a.m.-Noon: Free tours of the Chippewa Valley Museum for all event participants.
- 10:30 a.m: Awards and Halloween Costume Contest.
- 11 a.m: Kid's 1/4 mile & 1-mile BOO-GIE Run.
Race Shirt and Number Pickup
- Pickup times: Friday, Oct. 30th from 4 to 7 pm and Saturday, Oct. 31st from 6:30 to 8 a.m.
- Location: Available at the Wisconsin Logging Museum (Paul Bunyan Logging Camp).
Beneficiaries
- Event proceeds: Benefit the Chippewa Valley Museum and the ITC Running/Walking Club.
- Community focus: Supporting two non-profit organizations with a long history of promoting community education, fitness, and service.
