Gem of the Highlands 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

This is a celebration of everything that makes Norwood a true gem! Join us as we celebrate our community and raise money to improve Norwood parks.

💰 Impact of the Race

• Funding Raised: Since our inception six years ago, the Gem of the Highlands 5K has donated more than $90,000 in race proceeds.
• Major Projects: The new basketball courts at Waterworks Park and the dog park at Upper Millcrest Park have received the majority of our funding.
• Additional Support: Smaller donations have been made to cover mulch, grass seed and other general needs at five Norwood parks in beautification efforts.

🤝 Community Involvement

• Volunteer-Led: As a completely volunteer-led organization, we will continue to focus our proceeds and donations on improving Norwood parks again this year.
• Civic Pride: Just as important, we believe we created an event that residents and businesses can unite around with civic pride!
