Live Brave 5K and 1 Mile Run Events

• Benefit: Youth Eating Disorder Prevention and Recovery Programs
• Anniversary: 2025 is our 5 Year Anniversary!
• Location: Colby Lake Park, 9715 Valley Creek Road, Woodbury, MN 55125
• Fun: Kids 12 & under run free in the mile!

🌟 Race Experience

Experience the energy, excitement and competition of the Live Brave 5K and 1 Mile races in beautiful Woodbury, MN. All ages and abilities welcome!

• Post-Race: Enjoy finish line food, refreshments, sponsor demonstrations, entertainment from DJ Ray Mills, and awards & prizes.
• Community Focus: Our goal is awesome community involvement that raises awareness for eating disorders and drives support for prevention and treatment programs.
• Donation: Race donations will go directly to the newly-formed Live Brave Fund.
• Advocacy: Funds will support local non-profit organizations, including www.withall.org.

📅 Race Details

Saturday, August 9th, 2024

• Courses: USATF Certified Courses. Gun AND Chip Timing used.
• No Day Registration: NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
• 5K Start: 8:30 am: ARRIVE BY 7:45 AM
• 1 Mile Start: 10:00 am: ARRIVE BY 9:15 AM

🏆 Competitive Races

Competitive Wave: 10:00 am Start

• Males: 5:30 min/mile or faster (predicted finish time)
• Females: 7:30 min/mile or faster (predicted finish time)

🔗 Elite Athlete Application

Elite Athlete Comp Entry Application: Elite Open, Masters and Grandmasters can apply for a comp entry into Live Brave 1 Mile. Deadline for submissions is August 3rd.

👫 Community & Kid’s Wave

• Start Time: 10:15 am (Walk or run, Kid’s race)
• Free Entry: Kids 12 & under run free in the 1 mile event.
• The Brave Challenge: Participants run both the 5K and the 1 Mile.
• Start Line: Report to start line with 5K participants for 8:30 am start.

Up the fun factor! Create your team today and run Live Brave together!

• Team Creation: Teams can be created during registration or by visiting the “Teams” page.
• Fun Factor: Church, school, hobby, friends, family, work, sports - anything goes!
• Team Prizes: Your 5K team could win a $200 Visa Gift Card!
• Awards: The biggest team and the fastest team (top 5 times counted) in the Live Brave 5K will win.

📋 Race Rules and Guidelines

The course is open to the public, so please be kind to pedestrians.

• Strollers: Strollers are allowed, but please keep your pets at home.
• Bib Visibility: Your bib must be visible at all times.

🎊 Post-Race Celebration

The post-race celebration will start as soon as the first runner crosses the finish line.

• Experience: Runners will cross the finish line to music, food and your cheers!
• Awards Ceremony: Starts at approximately 10:30 am or as soon as results are available.

📣 Spectator Information

This is a great course for viewing your runners! Make signs and cheer them on.

• Viewing Areas: Colby Lake Park by the pavilion, along the west side of Woodbury Drive, Edgewater Park by the tennis courts, and along the east side of Colby Lake.
