Join Us for a Night of Fun at the Glow Fun Run 5K in Downtown Abilene!

Event Overview

• Brightest Gear: Pull out your brightest gear and join us for the 5th annual Ready Set Glow 5K as we celebrate five years of lighting up downtown Abilene together!
• Glow-in-the-Dark Race: This glow-in-the-dark race will take you through the heart of downtown before ending with our biggest Glow Party yet in The Well’s Green Space.
• Registration Perks: Register by September 20 to receive your exclusive glow kit, complete with light-up accessories and our signature 2026 race t-shirt.
• Community Support: All proceeds from the Ready Set Glow 5K directly support We Love Abilene, helping meet practical needs and provide hope to individuals and families throughout our city.

What to Expect

• Glow Gear: Everyone who registers by Sept. 20 will receive a race packet full of glow-in-the-dark accessories, including our race t-shirt.
• Community Contribution: Everyone who donates a package of new socks or underwear for AISD Homeless Ministry during packet pick up will receive a light-up baton.
• Scenic Course: The timed 5K route will take you through the vibrant heart of downtown Abilene lined with glowing volunteers.
• Post-Race Celebration: Celebrate your accomplishment with a post-race party featuring food trucks, children's activities, and non-profit vendors.

Event Details

• Registration: Registration including glow pack, bib and t-shirt is $35 (13+) and $15 (12 & under). Children (12 & under) not wanting a packet, bib or shirt are free!
• Fun Run: Fun Run is $15 (all ages) and registration includes glow pack and t-shirt. Sign up by September 20 to guarantee your glow gear.
• Early Packet Pick-Up: 10/10/26 from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm at The Well, 137 Mesquite, Abilene, Texas 79601.
• Race Day Schedule: Glow Party starts at 6 pm, with walk up registration/late packet pick up at 6:00-6:30 pm, 5K Run at 7:00 p.m. and Fun Run at 7:05 p.m.

Parking and Safety Measures

• Parking: Parking is available at The Well church, and the empty lot across the street. We recommend arriving early to secure your spot.
• Open Course: This is an open course, meaning roads will not be closed to traffic.
• Traffic Safety: We will have ample lighting along the course and glowing volunteers stationed throughout to direct traffic.
• Footwear: Please wear appropriate footwear and be mindful of your surroundings.
