Event Details

• Packet Pick-Up: starting at 8:00 AM the day of the event.
• Arrival Time: Arrive no later than 8:45 AM for Run/Hike and 12:30 PM for Discounted Tours.
• Registration Deadline: Online registration ends on 10/20/2026, but in-person registration is available until 8:30 AM on the day of the event.
• Parking: You CANNOT park at the sanctuary. Parking and shuttle service will be provided, with shuttle pick up next to Union Cemetery in Rising Sun, on the corner of 1st and Downey St, Parking on Downey. Follow the signs, shuttles start at 8:00 AM and run every 10-15 minutes.

About the Race

• Venue: The Red Wolf Sanctuary is once again hosting its 5K and 10K Trail Walk/Run across their beautiful, 452-acre facility in Rising Sun, Indiana.
• Welcome: The event will be timed but recreational runners and walkers are welcome.
• Proceeds: All proceeds from the event will support the sanctuary and its endeavors to preserve native North American wildlife through environmental education and the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife.
• Course Description: The 5K is a beautiful course that takes you along waterways, through wetlands and fields, with the final mile alongside large wildlife enclosures. The 10K includes a challenging elevation gain of over 240 feet in just under a mile.

Important Information

• Flooding: Should we experience any flooding, we may need to reroute the course.
• Race Start: Please plan to arrive by 8:30 AM to wrap up registration: the race/walk starts at 9:00 AM.
• Runner's Gear: Runners shirts and bags are only guaranteed to participants who register by October 10, 2026.
• Walking Tours: Go to www.redwolf.org to schedule walking tours after the race: registration is required, and space is limited.
