🏃 Race Description

The "Stampede", a 5K run/walk, IS BACK -- The Stampede kicks off a full day of activities associated with "The Western Heritage Weekend" and the Annual San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo, in beautiful downtown San Antonio. You will be in the middle of the action for the yearly Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive, Chuck Wagon Breakfast, great entertainment in the plaza, and the annual Vaquero Cook-Off after the parade. All race proceeds go to the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund. As a participant you/your team will have the opportunity to run/walk through picturesque downtown, as you travel the route of the Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive. This run is one of only a few available to runners that actually goes through the middle of downtown San Antonio. Several activities will be taking place prior to and after at the start/finish location and after the parade join the fun at the Market Square. After the Stampede you will be able to watch the Western Heritage Parade. It's time to register yourself/ your team so you can join us for this unique opportunity to participate in this annual historical celebration.

📋 Registration Information

• Web Registration: Closes at midnight of 02/06/2026 for the 5k run/walk.
• Onsite Registration: Available the morning of the race starting at 7:30 AM.
• Parking: Cattleman's Square Lot available after 7AM, limited space on a first come first serve basis.
• Virtual Run: A virtual option is available for those unable to attend in person.

🏅 Awards

Event Awards: Awards for age category winners, both Male and Female in various age groups. Overall winners will receive a special Bronze Longhorn trophy and a gift certificate to BOOT BARN. AND THEY WILL RIDE IN THE PARADE.

🎉 Event Fees & Policies

• Refund Policy: No refunds - Weather or otherwise.
• Team Discounts: Teams of 10 or more will receive a $5 discount.
• Participants: All participants will receive a swag bag, pre-race snacks/beverages, and post-race adult beverages and snacks.
• Strollers: Allowed in the race: animals, other than service dogs, are not encouraged.

• BURLESON BEER GARDEN: Sunday, February 1, 2026, 1pm - 6pm
• LAS PALAPAS 1604/OCONNOR: Monday, February 2, 2026, 5pm - 8pm
• LAS PALAPAS 1604/O'CONNOR RD: Wednesday, February 4, 2026, 5pm - 8pm
• Race Day: At the site beginning at 7:30 AM on February 7, 2026.
