🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The "Stampede", a 5K run/walk, IS BACK -- The Stampede kicks off a full day of activities associated with "The Western Heritage Weekend" and the Annual San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo, in beautiful downtown San Antonio. You will be in the middle of the action for the yearly Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive, Chuck Wagon Breakfast, great entertainment in the plaza, and the annual Vaquero Cook-Off after the parade. All race proceeds go to the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund. As a participant, you/your team will have the opportunity to run/walk through picturesque downtown, as you travel the route of the Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive. This run is one of only a few available to runners that actually goes through the middle of downtown San Antonio. Several activities will be taking place prior to and after at the start/finish location, and after the parade, join the fun at the Market Square. It’s time to register yourself/ your team so you can join us for this unique opportunity to participate in this annual historical celebration.

⏰ Race Details

• New Start Time: PLEASE NOTE THE NEW RACE START TIME -- 9AM
• Parade Start: The Parade starts at 10:50am - with the longhorns leading the parade.
• Winners Recognition: The Overall Male and Female -- AND the Masters Winners both Male and Female WILL BE RIDING IN THE WESTERN HERITAGE PARADE - BEHIND A BANNER that says STAMPEDE CHAMPIONS.
• Route Info: 2026 RACE ROUTE has yet to be finalized. It will be through Beautiful downtown and we hope to continue to incorporate the River Walk. Downtown construction is always an important factor - Be Careful - arrive early.

📍 Location and Registration

MILAM PARK - look for the tents and the Rodeo Flags!!! Onsite/Online late registration is available online and during/at the packet pick-up locations (see below) and Onsite only under the tents beginning at 7:30 AM Saturday, February 7th, 2026.

🚗 Parking Information

• Parking Location: CATTLEMAN'S SQUARE LOT - PARKING AVAILABLE AFTER 7AM, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1st, 2025 on a first come first serve basis.
• Parking Map: The Parking map below is correct. We are parking at the Cattleman’s Lot (same as last year) LIMITED SPACE - SO IT’S FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.

👜 Participant Perks

• Swag Bag: All participants will receive a swag bag.
• Snacks: Pre-race snacks/beverages and post-race adult beverages and snacks will be provided.
• Enjoyment: Strollers will be allowed in the race. Animals, other than service dogs are not encouraged.

🏅 Event Fees and Registration

Event fees: No refunds - (SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS). Teams - minimum of 10 runners will receive a $5 discount (once you reach 10 runners, you will get a $5 refund). Late registration starts at 12:01 am February 7, 2026.

🏆 Event Awards

• Awards: Awards for age category winners, both Male and Female in the following categories: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-99.
• Overall Awards: Overall winners, both Female and Male, will receive a special Bronze Longhorn trophy and a gift certificate to BOOT BARN.
• Masters Trophy: Bronze Bull 'Standing Tall' Trophy for "Masters" (runners age 40 and up) both Female and Male and a gift certificate to BOOT BARN.
