About the Race

• Funds Allocation: The FUNDS go to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund which has awarded over $255,000 MILLION dollars in scholarships.
• Event Description: The "Stampede", a 5K run/walk, is back, kicking off a full day of activities associated with "The Western Heritage Weekend" and the Annual San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo.
• Route: This run will take participants through picturesque downtown San Antonio, traveling the route of the Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive.
• Early Start: PLEASE NOTE THE NEW RACE START TIME -- 9AM. The Parade starts at 10:50am.

Parking and Registration

• Location: MILAM PARK - look for the tents and the Rodeo Flags!!!
• Parking: CATTLEMAN'S SQUARE LOT - parking available after 7 AM, Saturday, February 1st, 2025, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Registration: Late registration starts at 12:01 AM February 7, 2026, onsite only under the tents beginning at 7:30 AM.
• Teams: Minimum of 10 runners will receive a $5 discount (once you reach 10 runners, you will get a $5 refund).

Event Awards

• Age Categories: Awards for age category winners, both Male and Female in categories 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-99.
• Overall Winners: Both Female and Male will receive a special Bronze Longhorn trophy and a gift certificate to BOOT BARN.
• Masters Trophy: Bronze Bull 'Standing Tall' Trophy for "Masters" (age 40 and up) with a gift certificate to BOOT BARN.

Additional Information

• Packet Pick-up: Various locations and times for packet pick-up before the race.
• Virtual Run: If you cannot make it to the event, a virtual run allows you to participate from wherever you are.
• Strollers: Allowed in the race. Animals, other than service dogs, are not encouraged.
• Participants: All participants will receive a swag bag, pre-race snacks/beverages, and post-race adult beverages and snacks.
