19th Annual Amazing Grace Running Scared 5K Run and Walk

Supporting Youth Education!
- Benefit: The Running Scared 5K benefits Youth Education.
- Total Raised: Approximately $350,000 has been raised to help children in the Cincinnati Valley area.
- History: The Running Scared 5K was first started in 2008.
- Course: A flat 3.1 mile course through a “spooky” cemetery, ending at a fabulous Halloween Fest!
Event Details:
- Live Event: We are back "LIVE" this year for our traditional 5K Run Walk.
- Virtual Event: Can’t make it to the "Live" event? You can still support the event with our Virtual event.
- Distance: You can run or walk your own 5K anytime between 10/1/2024 and 10/19/2024.
- Post Race Party: Enjoy a post-race party with music, food, and drinks after the race.
Schedule of Events:
- Race Time: The 19th Annual Running Scared 5K starts at 6:00 pm.
- Post Race Party: From 6:30 pm - 10 pm inside and outside of Haffey Fieldhouse.
- Location: Reading Veterans Memorial Stadium, 1600 West St Cincinnati, OH 45215.

Course Information:
- Start Point: The race will start on West Street near the Stadium.
- Path: Wind through the “spooky” Reading Cemetery.
- Route: A flat, fast course ending on the track in the Stadium.
- Water Stations: There will be water at the start, middle, and end of the route.
Awards:
- Mugs: Our traditional Famous Mugs will be given to the first 50 men and the first 50 women to finish.
- Post-Race Results: Overall Results will be posted at the post-race party.
- Online Results: Complete results will also be posted online.
- Age Categories: There are no age category awards for this event.
Post Race Activities:
- Party Highlights: Celebrate with food, costume contest, music by "BAM Entertainment", and a beer garden for those 21 and over.
- Door Prizes: Register in advance to be eligible for many fabulous door prizes.
- Raffle: Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the after party.
- Split-the-Pot: Help us raise money with additional fundraising activities.
Registration Costs:
- 5K Registration: $30 through October 15, 2026, $35 on October 16, and $40 on Race Day.
- Party Only: $20 for friends to join the fun after the race.
- Kids Registration: All kids 13 and under can participate for only $20.
- T-Shirts: Optional shirts available for $17 short-sleeved and $20 long-sleeved.
Registration Information:
- Online Registration: Available through race day.
- Mail Registration: Postmark your registration by Monday, October 12, 2026.
- Packet Pick-Up: Early packet pick up on October 16, 2026, from Noon - 6 pm at Haffey Fieldhouse.
- Race Day Packet Pick-Up: October 17, 2026, from 4 pm - 5:45 pm at Veteran's Memorial Stadium.
Parking Information:
- Free Parking: Park your vehicle near Haffey Fieldhouse and Reading Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.
- Parking Restrictions: If you park in the lot, you will not be able to leave until the last race participant finishes.
- Street Parking: Available on nearby streets for those who must leave early.
- Note: No Refunds!
