Event Purpose
- Beneficiary: The Running Scared 5K benefits Youth Education.
- Fundraising: Approximately $350,000 has been raised to help children in the Cincinnati Valley area.
- History: The Running Scared 5K was first started in 2008.
Race Details
- Course: A flat 3.1 mile course through a “spooky” cemetery, ending at a fabulous Halloween Fest.
- Costumes: Participants are encouraged to run/walk in costumes.
- Post Race Party: Enjoy music, food, drinks, and a warm fire after the race.
Event Options
- Live Event: Join us in person for the traditional 5K Run Walk.
- Virtual Event: Participate virtually and post your time on our Virtual Results Page.
Schedule of Events
- Race Start: 6:00 pm
- Post Race Party: 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm inside and outside of Haffey Fieldhouse.
Awards and Results
- Awards: Famous Mugs for the first 50 men and the first 50 women.
- Results: Overall Results will be posted at the post-race party and online.
After the Race
- Party: Fantastic food, music, and contests await you.
- Beer Garden: Available for those 21 and over with proper ID.
Registration Information
- Regular Registration: $30 until October 15, $35 on October 16, and $40 Race Day.
- Kids Registration: Kids 13 and under can participate for only $20.
- T-Shirts: Optional for $17 short-sleeved, $20 long-sleeved.
Packet Pickup
- Early Pickup: Friday, October 16, from Noon - 6 pm at Haffey Fieldhouse.
- Race Day Pickup: Saturday, October 17, from 4 pm - 5:45 pm at the Stadium.
Parking Information
- Free Parking: Available near Haffey Fieldhouse and the Stadium.
- Note: If parking in the lot, you cannot leave until the last runner finishes.
