📝 About the Race

• In Memory: This event, in memory of Gregg Wenzel ’91, will consist of a 5K run/walk around campus.
• Background: Wenzel was a triathlete and former student-athlete at Binghamton who competed on the men’s varsity swimming and diving team.
• Tragic Event: He was killed in a car accident in July 2003 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he was working as a CIA director of operations.
• Start/End Point: The run/walk will start and end in front of the Gregg Wenzel Memorial statue on Bearcat Boulevard.

🏆 Awards and Registration

• Awards: Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in separate age categories.
• Entry Fees: The entry fee is $10 for students and $20 for all others.
• Eligibility: Entrants must be 13 years or older.
• Student Registration: Students enter coupon code STUDENTWENZEL25 on payment screen. You will be asked your school name in the registration questions.
