Scenic Views: Located on the east side of town near Walla Walla Community College, runners and walkers will be treated to views of the Blue Mountains with rolling fields of wheat and grapevines and fall foliage.
Trail Surfaces: The trail surfaces start with asphalt nature paths, transitioning to gravel service roads at Bennington Lake.
Route Features: The half marathon will include a section of out and back on a chip sealed county road, returning to loop back onto the last half of the 10K route.
Challenge: This is NOT a fast and flat course! It includes rolling hills with elevation gain on the way out and high-speed returns on mile 6-8 of the half and the last two miles of both the 10K and half marathon.

Finisher Medal: Every finisher receives a medal.
Food Options: Food truck and local craft beers (one free beer per runner for those 21 years of age or older or root beer).
Entertainment: Music, food tent for runners, results ceremonies, and lots of cheering!

💖 First Annual Heroes 5K Run
Memorial Run: This run is a memorial for three Walla Walla first responders who recently passed away, honoring these remarkable people.
Beautiful Route: Runners and walkers will enjoy the beautiful Millcreek nature pathway with a combination of asphalt and gravel road surfaces.
Awards: Awards will be given for the top 3 female and top 3 male finishers.
Free Gifts: All participants who register before September 1st will receive a free t-shirt and the first 140 participants will also receive a free pint glass.

What this run is really about:
Melissa Harting: A dedicated nurse who passed away at age 44, she was a committed mother and friend.
Robert Becker: A beloved nursing instructor who impacted many lives, he passed away at age 68.
Ryan Pleasants: A dedicated firefighter who served his community, he passed away at age 41 while on duty.
Proceeds: The funds raised will support memorial funds and community initiatives for nursing students and firefighters.
