🏞️ Race Course

• Path: The half marathon will be on the Mahaska County Recreation Trail all around Oskaloosa with a little bit of the running on the streets.
• Start/Finish: The race will begin and end by the community stadium for your convenience.
• Update: The race will begin by the new Lacey Complex Stadium, allowing for more parking and a better central location.
• Scenery: The course is hilly, but full of a lot of beautiful scenery.

Scholarship and Proceeds

• Host: The Mahaska County Sheriff's Reserves will be hosting the third Pot of Gold Shared Half Marathon and 5K.
• Purpose: Proceeds go towards a scholarship for a male and female runner and will also support other reserve funding projects for Mahaska County.

🥇 Awards and Incentives

• Medals: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 individuals Male and Female in each age division in the half marathon and 5K.
• Finishers: All finishers will receive a race pint glass.
• Shirts: Long sleeves will be handed out based on availability, so please ensure you are signed up by Mid-February for shirt orders!

📅 Packet Pick-Up

• Date: Packet Pick-Up will be at the Emergency Management Agency Building from 6-8 p.m. on March 28th.
• Morning Pick-Up: Packets can also be picked up at 7:30 a.m. for the half marathon and 8:00 a.m. for the 5K on March 29th.
• Location: Pick-up will occur at the start line at Lacey Complex if needed.
