SDIA Turkey Trot for Heroes

Bring the whole family to Sheep Dog Impact Assistance’s Turkey Trot for Heroes for a Thanksgiving morning filled with movement, community, and purpose! Held at the Center for Nonprofits in Rogers, Arkansas, this annual tradition brings runners, walkers, families, and friends together to support our nation’s heroes before heading home for Thanksgiving celebrations.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, taking on an extra challenge with our Wild Gobbler, or enjoying a walk with your family, there’s a way for everyone to participate.

Choose Your Race

Traditional 5K: Run or walk at your own pace—a great option for competitive runners and casual participants alike. Registration includes a medal, T-shirt, and runner swag.

Wild Gobbler 5K: Add a challenge to your 5K with five workout stations along the route, each dedicated to a Fallen Hero. Honor their service and sacrifice with every step and repetition. Registration includes a medal, T-shirt, and runner swag.

1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: Enjoy a shorter distance that’s perfect for little legs, families, and anyone looking for a relaxed start to Thanksgiving. No medal or runner swag is included, but you can add a T-shirt for an additional fee.
Bring Your Thanksgiving Spirit

Can’t join us in Rogers? Bring the Thanksgiving tradition to your community! Complete your 5K wherever you are and help support military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their families by signing up for our Virtual Race! Run anytime, anywhere, and support SDIA!

Turkey costumes, pilgrim outfits, and festive fall attire are encouraged! Come dressed for a chance to win Best Dressed, awarded to an individual or group, or earn Founder’s Favorite, selected by SDIA Founder SgtMaj Lance Nutt for an outstanding participant.

Awards will be presented for first, second, and third place in all divisions, along with special trophies for our Best Dressed and Founder’s Favorite winners.

We’re proud to partner again with the Rogers Fraternal Order of Police for this community tradition. Proceeds support Sheep Dog Impact Assistance’s programs, helping military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their families transform struggle into strength through our Outdoor Adventure, Warrior PATHH, and Continued Service programs.

Gather your family and friends, Get Off The Couch®, and make a difference before heading home for turkey and pie!
