Hippity Hop 5K

• Anniversary: Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Hippity Hop 5K
• Activities: 5K run/walk, Easter Egg Hunt, children's activities, and more!

Registration Details

• Entry Fee: All registered participants gain same-day FREE entry into the zoo
• Registration Deadline: Closes at midnight on April 3, 2026
• No Race Day Registration: We will not be accepting any registrations on the race day
• Proceeds: Benefit youth and families in Ingham County

5K Run/Walk

• Course: Chip-timed, scenic, accurate course along the Lansing River Trail
• Participant Gifts: T-shirt and finisher's medal for all
• Open Start Time: 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM: competitive participants at 10:55 AM
• Stroller Friendly: The entire course is paved

Virtual Option

• Available: Participate from anywhere on April 4
• Shipping: T-shirts and medals will be shipped directly to participants

Easter Egg Hunt

• Participants: All children under 12 must register
• Included: Each child receives a bag, t-shirt, and guaranteed eggs
• Start Time: Begins at 10:30 AM at the Tiger Den Pavilion

• Group Registration: Register with 3 or more people
• Discount: $3 off per registrant with group registration

• Sizes: Unisex and kid sizes available

Awards

• Overall Awards: Given to overall, Master (over 40), and Grand Master (over 50) male and female
• Finisher's Medals: Every 5K participant receives a medal
• Age Group Awards: Awards for top 2 in each age group
• Age Groups: Categories from 7 & under to 75+

Packet Pickup

• Date: Friday, April 3, 2026
• Location: Tiger Den pavilion at Potter Park Zoo
• Time: 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, or as early as 8:30 AM on the event day

Timing

• Timing Service: Professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation
• Results: Live results during the race, posted on the race website
