Hippity Hop 5K

Event Overview

• Location: 1301 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Lansing, MI
• Anniversary: Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Hippity Hop 5K!
• Host: Potter Park Zoo

Race Activities

• 5K Run/Walk: Participants will enjoy a chip-timed run/walk along the scenic Lansing River Trail.
• Easter Egg Hunt: Featuring fun activities for children, beginning at 10:30 AM.
• Easter Bunny: A special guest appearance by the Easter Bunny!
• Zoo Entry: All registered participants get same-day FREE entry into the zoo!

Important Information

• Registration: Closes at midnight on April 3, 2026: no race-day registrations will be accepted.
• Course: All paved and stroller-friendly.
• Start Time: Open start from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM: competitive participants should aim for 10:55 AM.
• Family Pricing: Register with 3 or more people for a $3 discount per registrant.

Awards and Medals

• Overall Awards: Awards for Overall, Master (over 40), and Grand Master (over 50) male and female.
• Age Group Awards: Top 2 in each age group will receive awards.
• Finisher's Medal: Every participant will receive a medal upon completion of the 5K.
• Age Groups: Ranging from 7 & under to 75+.

Packet Pickup

• Date: April 3, 2026
• Location: Tiger Den pavilion at Potter Park Zoo
• Time: 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and also available from 8:30 AM on race day.
• Timing: Professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live and posted online.

Virtual Option

• Participation: Option to run or walk from anywhere on April 4.
• Shipping: T-shirts and medals will be shipped directly to you!
