Hippity Hop 5K

🐰Welcome to the Hippity Hop 5K!

• Details: A day of fun including the 5K run/walk, Easter Egg Hunt, children's activities, and THE EASTER BUNNY!

🎉10th Anniversary Celebration

• Free Zoo Entry: All registered participants get same-day FREE entry into the zoo!
• Scenic Course: 5K will start and finish near the zoo entrance along the Lansing River Trail.
• Community Impact: Proceeds support youth and families in Ingham County, aiding at-risk families for over 40 years.
• Registration Deadline: Register by midnight on April 3, 2026. No race day registrations!

🏃‍♂️5K Run/Walk Details

• Chip-timed: Enjoy a beautiful and accurate course.
• Registration: Starts between 11:00 AM and 11:15 AM: competitive runners should arrive by 10:55 AM.
• Stroller Friendly: The entire course is paved, accommodating all participants.
• Gifts: Every participant receives a t-shirt and finisher's medal.

🌐Virtual Option

• Participation: Join us virtually from anywhere on April 4.
• Shipping: T-shirts and medals will be shipped directly to participants.

🥚Easter Egg Hunt

• Time: Begins at 10:30 AM at the Tiger Den Pavilion.
• Registration: Required for all children under 12.
• Items Included: Participants will receive a bag, t-shirt, and a guaranteed minimum number of eggs.

💰Family Pricing

• Discount: Register with 3 or more participants to receive a $3 discount per registrant.

👕T-shirt Availability

• Sizing: Unisex and kid sizes will be available.

🏆Awards and Medals

• Overall Awards: Male and female categories for Overall, Master (over 40), and Grand Master (over 50).
• Finisher's Medal: Each 5K participant receives a medal: awards for the top 2 in each age group.

📦Packet Pickup

• Pickup Times: Friday, April 3, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM or 8:30 AM on race day.
• Location: Tiger Den Pavilion at the Potter Park Zoo.

⏱️Race Timing

• Professional Timing: The race will be timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
• Results: Live results during the race and posted on the event website.
