5K Run/Walk

• Course: Chip-timed on a scenic and accurate course along the Lansing River Trail.
• Start Time: Open start time from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM: competitive runners should arrive by 10:55 AM.
• Stroller Friendly: Entire course is paved for easy navigation with strollers.
• Finisher's Medal: All participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher's medal.

Additional Options

• Virtual Option: Participate from anywhere on April 4 and receive t-shirts and medals by mail.
• Easter Egg Hunt: Children under 12 must register to receive a bag, t-shirt, and eggs.
• Family Pricing: Register with 3 or more people to receive a $3 discount per registrant.
• T-shirts: Available in unisex and kid sizes.

Awards and Medals

• Overall Awards: Awards for Overall, Master (over 40), and Grand Master (over 50) male and female.
• Age Group Awards: Top 2 in each age group receive awards: age groups span from 7 & under to 75 & over.
• Finisher's Medals: Every participant receives a finisher's medal.
• Awards Eligibility: Awards given only to attendees of the in-person event.

Packet Pickup

• Date: Friday, April 3, 2026
• Location: Tiger Den Pavilion, Potter Park Zoo
• Time: 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, or 8:30 AM on the day of the event.
• Timing: The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.

Race Day Information

• Results: Results will be live during the race and posted on the race website.
• Registration Deadline: Registration closes at midnight on April 24, 2026: no race day registrations will be accepted.
• Community Impact: Proceeds support at-risk youth and families in Ingham County.
• History: The Child Benefit Fund has been assisting families for over 40 years.
