🤝 Mission Statement

• Goal: LASAA’s mission is to provide athletic events for our members, comprised of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department employees and law enforcement personnel, to promote health, fitness, and camaraderie.
• History: The Mug Run series started in 1993. The primary participants were law enforcement personnel with an average of 10 runners.
• Growth: Since then, the Mug Run series opened its participation to the general public. Today, participation has grown to over 300 runners.
• Community Interaction: The race provides outside friendly competition and positive interaction between law enforcement and the community.
