Mission Statement

• Purpose: LASAA’s mission is to provide athletic events for our members, comprised of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department employees and law enforcement personnel, to promote health, fitness, and camaraderie.
• History: The Mug Run series started in 1993 with an average of 10 runners, primarily law enforcement personnel.
• Growth: Since then, the series has opened participation to the general public, growing to over 300 runners today.
• Community Interaction: The race provides outside friendly competition and positive interaction between law enforcement and the community.

• Pricing: Race day pricing increases to $40, so make sure to sign up early.
