🏃♂️ Race Registration
- Early Registration: Early registration now open!
- Deadline: Runners must register online by September 29th to receive a shirt.
- Packet Pickup: Packets not picked up on race day will not be mailed.
- Weather: The weather at 7am in late October can be chilly so come prepared!
📅 Event Overview
- When: The 48th Annual "Pittsburg Rotary Gorilla Grind 5K" will take place on October 17, 2026.
- Where: The race starts and finishes on the campus of Pittsburg State University in front of Weede Gymnasium.
- Timing: The race will be chip timed by Runaround Racing.
- Refreshments: There will be water and light snacks at the finish line.
🎓 Scholarships
- Purpose: All proceeds from the Gorilla Grind 5K provide scholarships to local high school students entering Pittsburg State University.
- ROTC Scholarship: A scholarship is also awarded to a student entering PSU Army ROTC.
- Organizers: Pittsburg Noon Rotary works hard to put on an exceptional event!
🏆 Awards
- Age Categories: Age group awards will be given for overall male and female categories (1st, 2nd, 3rd).
- Specific Groups: Awards for 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and up male and female categories.
