This November, lace up your running shoes and join us for the Turkey Shuffle, a delightful race set amidst the serene beauty of Texas parks and greenbelts. As autumn paints the landscape with vibrant hues and the Texas heat takes a brief respite, participants will have the chance to immerse themselves in the stunning fall colors while enjoying a well-organized and festive running experience.

🏅 Race Distances

• Kids Dash: This event is for our little Yeti's and is typically about a 50-meter dash. Designed for kids 10 and under, this is not timed and includes a tee shirt, race medal, and exclusive Kids Dash recognition pin.
• 1 Mile: Designed for all ages and experience levels, this event is not chip-timed and includes a tee shirt and race medal.
• 5K: This chip-timed race will take you 3.11 miles, featuring trophies for the overall male and female finishers.
• 10K: This chip-timed race will take you 6.22 miles, with trophies for the overall male and female finishers.

DJ Sasquatch will be on hand to keep the energy high with a fantastic playlist, ensuring that you’re motivated and pumped throughout your run. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just out for a fun day, the lively beats will add an extra bounce to your step.

Every runner will be celebrated with recognition and age group awards, honoring your personal achievements and dedication.

Adding to the fun, we’re hosting a festive costume contest. Embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving by dressing up in your most creative, Thanksgiving-themed costume.

• Dress Up: Unleash your creativity with your most fabulous Thanksgiving-themed outfit.
• Award: The winner will receive the coveted "Biggest Turkey" trophy and a prize pack including a $40 HEB gift card.
• Participation: All contestants will get a chance to showcase their imaginative costumes.

• Youth Pricing: Youth-based pricing for the 5k & 10K - 12 & Under are only $15.

📅 Event Schedule

7:30-8:45am: Packet Pickup
8:55am: Kids Dash (Meet at the Start Line and walk participants to the starting area)
9:00am: National Anthem and Race Start!
Results and Awards are live and available at the Registration tent immediately following your finish!

⭐ Volunteer Opportunities

Sign up as a volunteer and help out during the race while also receiving rewards such as race shirts, medals, and future race entries. Volunteer tasks include water station support, course monitoring, and assisting at the finish line.

🌧️ Weather Policy

Bigfoot races proceed rain, shine, hot or cold. Packet pickup is always offered for 1.5 hours before the event start time, and a second pickup will be communicated to all registered participants.
