• Established: Since the inception of South Mountain Baptist Camp in 1957 in the South Mountains of North Carolina.
• Focus: The goal was to provide an environment that fosters spiritual growth through disconnecting from the world to connect with God.
• Activities: Time in nature, being exposed to new skills, and making friends enables children, teenagers, and adults to learn about Jesus Christ and the message of salvation.

💰 Affordability and Impact

• Cost Offset: South Mountain seeks to keep camp affordable for everyone and offsets the cost of camp by around $100 per camper.
• Expense Facts: It’s estimated that the cost of South Mountain’s summer camp is $205 per week and the true cost of camp is over $300 per week.
• Supporting the Camp: Proceeds from each race go directly to the camp’s operating budget.
