Britta's Chase 5K @ SA Zoo

Event Overview

Goya Foods is your presenting sponsor for the third annual Britta's Chase 5K in the Wild - a race run inside San Antonio’s award winning Zoo! This 5K celebrates Meant to Soar, a non profit 501 (c)(3). The animals are normally more active during this time of the morning because it isn't so hot!

Race Opportunities

• Serious Runners: Serious cash awards available!
• Walkers and Joggers: Enjoy animals in their morning routines.
• Finisher Medals: Beautiful customized medals for all finishers, age groups, and top performers.
• Cash Chase Challenge: $100 bills will be handed out at the 1 and 2 mile markers to leading male and female runners.

Prize Details

• Race Winner: $300 prize if the male runner finishes under 15:15 and the female runner under 18:15.
• Fun Kids Dash: $10 entry for a quarter mile loop dash for little ones 5 and under.
• Kid's Medals: Gold, silver, and bronze medals for first three finishers, and finisher medals for everyone else.
• Support for Children: Meant To Soar helps children overcome trauma from parental addiction and human trafficking.

Participant Experience

Every participant in Britta's Chase will receive a Meant to Soar high flying kite!

Course Details

• Signage and Marshals: Plenty of signage and course marshals to ensure safe navigation.
• Fun Atmosphere: Enjoy music, water misters, and animals watching you run.
• Aesthetic Experience: Run under lights in the trees.
• Competitive Edge: Elite runners will pass recreational runners to collect cash prizes first!
