Washington Street Church of God Annual Family Fun Walk/Run & Health Fair

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Health is wealth. What started out as an invitation for Church members to join Pastor Mike in a 10k run, has turned into an annual community FAMILY FUN event focused on togetherness, health, education, food, and fun! Come join us as we walk/run to improve our health and get information, free giveaways, blood pressure checks and more from our vendors. Any profit will be used towards renovation for re-opening of the Northwest Indiana Friendship House.

👶 Family Friendly Activities

• Children of all ages: Welcome! We have an entire staff to supervise and entertain your children with outdoor games, balloon expressions, and face painting during and after your walk/run at no cost to you.
• Registration cost: If your child (10+) wants to participate in the walk/run, there will be a small registration cost to cover those expenses.
• Free meals: A light breakfast and brunch can also be enjoyed at no cost.
• Join the Fun: We are blessing the PASTOR of the Church with a $150 gift card for the most people in attendance.

• Pre-Race Announcements: 7:45 AM
• Race Start: 8:00 AM

💰 Entry Fees/Deadlines

• Walk/Run: Registration for the Race Ends @ 9:00am September 14th: $40.00 plus $3.75 fee. Race Day Registrants: your T-shirt and Medal will be mailed to you 2-weeks after the Race. You will not receive a race day goodie bag on-site.
• Join the Fun: Registration Ends @ 9:00am September 14th: $0. Race Day Sign-up: $5.
• Refund policy: No refunds but may send a substitute.
• Thank you: for your support!

Special award to the top overall finisher in each category as per below:

• 5 mile Run
• 5 mile Walk
• 2.5 mile Run
• 2.5 mile Walk
• 1.25 mile Run
• 1.25 mile Walk

• Weather: Event will happen rain or shine.
• Pets: Please no dogs or other pets other than service animals.
• Prohibited items: Bikes, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, etc. are prohibited.
• Course info: The course incorporates both paved surfaces and trails. Please wear proper footwear and be aware of terrain.
