Unique Experience: Participants will board the ferry in downtown Seattle by walking on and enjoy the scenic 35-minute crossing to Bainbridge Island.
Course Details: The half marathon will start on the ferry dock and take runners all around scenic Bainbridge Island, consisting of approximately 2/3rds road and 1/3rd groomed trail.
Post-Race Festival: Enjoy the post-race festival before choosing a return ferry back to Seattle.
Course Difficulty: Please note that this is a hilly course compared to most Orca Running events.
Trail Information
Trail Experience: Approximately 1/3 of the course is on Bainbridge Island trails that are not technical.
Recommended for: Runners that experience difficulty on trails should consider their fitness level before signing up.
Registration Note: Bainbridge Island and Kitsap County residents who don’t need to take the ferry are welcome to attend.
Online Registration: Choose the Bainbridge resident option when registering if applicable.
Resident Discount
Discount: Bainbridge Island residents can save $8 on race registration.
Eligibility: Selecting this option at checkout implies that you live on Bainbridge Island and won’t be riding the ferry to the start line.
