Unique Experience: The Great Ferry Race is unlike any other race you’ve ever done.
Scenic Crossing: Participants will board the ferry in downtown Seattle and enjoy a 35-minute crossing to Bainbridge Island.
Starting Point: The half marathon race starts on the ferry dock and takes runners all around scenic Bainbridge Island.
Course Composition: The course is approximately 2/3rds road and 1/3rd groomed trail.
Course Details
Hilly Terrain: Please note that this is a hilly course, compared to most Orca Running events.
Trail Running: Approximately 1/3 of the course is on Bainbridge Island trails, which are not technical.
Participant Caution: Runners that experience difficulty on trails should probably not run this race.
Registration Information
Resident Participation: Bainbridge Island and Kitsap County residents who don’t need to take the ferry are welcome to attend.
Discount for Residents: Bainbridge Island residents can save $8 on race registration.
Registration Agreement: Choosing the Bainbridge resident option means you agree to live on Bainbridge Island and will not ride the ferry to the start line.
