About Dobbs Ferry Youth Services Council

The Dobbs Ferry Youth Services Council (YSC) plays an essential role in the Dobbs Ferry community by addressing the needs of local youth, fostering leadership, and promoting collaboration between young people and adults. This council includes community leaders, parent volunteers, and students from local schools like Dobbs Ferry High School, The Masters School, and Mercy College.

• Goals: Create programs and initiatives for the well-being of Dobbs Ferry's youth.
• Support Program: Funded by the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program to reduce adolescent substance use.
• Community Strengthening: Strengthens partnerships with law enforcement, healthcare professionals, schools, and faith-based organizations.
• Empowerment: Aims to empower youth to make positive choices while enhancing leadership and community engagement.
